I can’t believe i’m saying this but the Red Sox are going back to the World Series for the first time since 2013. The Boston Red Sox, the best team ever are going back to the World Series! Sorry that this article is a little late, as I was too busy celebrating all weekend. Finally cured my hangover from all of the celebration, I’ve sat down to write this analysis on why the Boston Red Sox are the best team EVAH. If you don’t want my bias, yet factual… simply factual yet opinionated, yet factualy opinionated facts that are very factual when opinionated then just close out. But keep reading because I guarantee you get triggered by my factual opinionated facts. Enjoy.

If you weren’t hype for the Fall Classic before now, watch this video. If you aren’t a Red Sox fan but just hate the Dodgers, watch this video. If you are a Yankees hater, watch this video. If you don’t care who wins the World Series, watch this video. If you are looking for a team to root for in the World Series, watch this video. PLEASE INJECT THIS INTO MY VEINS, MR DOCTOR!

Best Team of the Century:

That’s right, i’ve taken it to that level. The Red Sox are the best MLB team of this century. This is no debate, especially if the Sox pull out the 2018 World Series. Since 2000, the Red Sox are the best franchise in the MLB. Boston has made the World Series a total of 4 times (including 2018). 2004, 2007, 2013 – All winning the World Series by a significant margin. Now, the Sox have a chance to add a fourth World Series title in just the last 15 years. This is better than any other MLB team. The others close to the Sox include the Yankees (Made WS in 2000, 2001, 2003 & 2009- Winning in 2000 & 2009), the Cardinals (Made WS in 2004, 2006, 2011 & 2013- Winning in 2006 & 2011) and the Giants (Made WS in 2002, 2010, 2012 & 2014- Winning in 2010, 2012 & 2014). So if the Red Sox can win the 2018 World Series, they will in fact be the best team of our century.

Best Team Ever, Simply a Fact!

The Boston Red Sox are the best team ever, that’s simply a fact. I’ve said it all year long. I told you. I told you so. From day 1, I’ve said that this team was something special and from day 1 I was given excuses about how the Sox are “just a regular season team. They aren’t going to win the AL East. They have no shot of winning a playoff series. They are just going to choke in the playoffs, again. They will never beat the Yankees in a series. They certainly will never beat the Astros in a 4 game series.” Where’s that energy now? Where’s that same energy that you Boston haters were having all year long? It seems to be missing.

But hold on. I don’t want to make this about the Red Sox haters or about myself, even though I told you all year long that this team was the best team ever. I want to make this about, in fact… the best team ever- the Boston Red Sox. This team is something remarkable. This team will go down as one of the best teams in MLB history.

How Did the Sox Get Here?

The Boston Red Sox have had a plan to get back to the World Series ever since 2015 when they finished last in the AL East. Ever since the two dreadful last place finishes, the Sox signed David Price to one of the largest contracts of this decade. Boston then gave up their entire minor league prospects for Chris Sale, prior to the 2017 season. Then after 2017, Boston fired manager John Farrell to then hire a gem in Alex Cora. Then, with the MVP caliber player in Mookie Betts, GM Dave Dombrowski went out to sign another MVP caliber player that got us over the hump in J.D. Martinez. All of these moments, signings and transactions have been to get to this one moment… the 2018 World Series.

Red Sox Fate:

Love them or hate them, the Red Sox made very smart decision this past offseason and that is one of the reasons for their success. Want to know why this is the Red Sox year? You can just tell by the games they win. They win games that they aren’t supposed to. Beating Justin Verlander in an elimination game? Domination by David Price who’s never, ever won a playoff game? Down by 4 runs and coming back by having your nine hole hitter who is batting .220 on the year hit a MASSIVE ding dong? That’s how you know it’s the Sox year. The baseball gods are on our side. For the first time in my life I can finally say that. Just ask all of my hard hit balls to the outfield that are caught by diving catches. I don’t even care that I can barely hit over the Mendoza line. Jackie Bradley can’t either but he just won ALCS MVP.  Richmond, Virginia (RVA) represent!

World Series Preview:

Like the Yankees, Astros and the rest of the MLB… the Dodgers have no shot in the World Series. I’m not going to say it’ll be a sweep because that’s very hard to do but the last 3 times that the Sox went to the World Series, 2 of those times Boston has swept the National League representative (2004 & 2007.) In 2013, the Red Sox won the series against the St. Louis Cardinals 4 games to 2. So, while I’m not going to say that the Sox will sweep… the Sox are going to sweep, that’s simply a fact. With the best hitting in the league and our pitching staff finally coming around, Alex Cora will have these boys ready to roll!

While I can’t afford 1 thousand dollar World Series tickets, I won’t be at any of the games but you’ll catch me at the Parade in beantown when Boston wins the fourth game in L.A. If you wanna help a college kid out, throw me some Fall Classic tickets! That’s simply a fact! Thanks for reading and don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and Twitter– @jcmoore19.
