With the NFL season wrapping up – let’s take a quick look at some of the top picks and teams to avoid in Week 17. With some quality players sitting out and some important seeding on the line, the slate of weekend games should be a good one.

The Detroit Lions head to Lambeau as 7.5 point underdogs to the Packers. Although Aaron Rodgers shoudl suit up to see the season out, neither team has been particularly successful this year. Look for the Lions to stay within a touchdown and cash out for a big win.
The Atlanta Falcons is another team on the road as they take a trip down to Tampa Bay to swaure off against the Bucs. Atlanta has looked lackluster this season, but expect them to show up offensively and show the people that they still have what it takes to hang with the big boys next year. Take the Falcons to win straight up as a 1 point favorite.
Teams to Beware
The San Francisco 49ers are heading down the I-5 highway to battle the red red hot Rams as 10 point ‘dogs. That 10 point spread might look enticing with the 49ers ability to stick around, but I’m willing to bank on a hungry Rams team looking to secure a first round bye and that coveted week of relaxation.
The Denver Broncos (+6.5) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (+7) are both sporting a tantalizing spread, and both are taking on teams trying to win a title race. The selection for an upset here will be crucial, and in my humble opinion I’d stay away from the Jags. Denver has a tendency to play division rivals closely at home and could cover.
