Week 15 is now in the books, bringing some to the semifinals and many others to the championship! Now that the semi-finals and finals are here, it is essential to look at using your claims for high upside players who have the potential to win the championship for you or to take valuable players away from opposing teams. Here is a look at my top waiver wire adds for Week 16

Quarterback:

Josh Allen: BUF (23%) Josh Allen has now put together 4 consecutive starts where he finished as a top 10 QB. In Week 12 he was #4, Week 13 finished as the #2, in Week 14 he was the #8, and in Week 15 finished as the #5 quarterback. If you made it to the Championship game and are needing a quarterback option, I wouldn’t second guess Josh Allen at this point in the season and he could help bring you a championship.

Running Back:

Jamal Williams GB (19%) Aaron Jones exited Sunday’s game against the Bears with a knee injury, leaving Jamal Williams as the primary running back moving forward for the Packers. Williams went into the game and managed to run well against the Bears 2nd ranked run defense, rushing for 55 yards and a touchdown while adding on 4 receptions for 42 yards. Jones is likely to miss the remainder of the season, making Williams a must add for your potential last waiver claim of the season.

Kalen Ballage MIA (2%) Frank Gore exited Sunday’s game against the Vikings and is likely to miss the remainder of the 2018 season. Ballage had a highlight reel carry to start the 2nd half where he showed off his vision and speed, rushing for a 75 yard touchdown. He ended up finishing the game with 12 carries for 123 yards and 1 catch for -2 yards. It’s hard to know what’s going on with Kenyan Drake as he watched from the sidelines for most of the game, getting just 1 carry for 6 yards. The 4th round Rookie should have a chance to show the he was a draft day steal if the Dolphins look to get him more involved as the season is coming to an end.

Wide Receiver

Robert Foster BUF (14%) Foster has back to back 100 yard games for the first time in his rookie season. The last 5 weeks have been great ones for Foster and Josh Allen as the two have been clicking. In this time, Foster has 17 receptions for 438 yards and 2 deep touchdowns, one for 75 yards and the other for 42 yards. The Bills take on the Patriots in Week 16 and the Rookie duo with Allen and Foster will try making a statement against the division rivals, showing that they have a bright future in the division where Tom Brady will soon stop dominating and potentially Allen and Foster could start to take over in the coming years.

DaeSean Hamilton (23%) / Tim Patrick (3%) The young Broncos receivers have been forced to step into action since Emmanuel Sanders’ unfortunate injury. Hamilton has seen more targets than Patrick nut, Patrick has led the Broncos in receiving yards the last two weeks. If either of these guys are sitting on your waiver wire and you are struggling at the receiver position, I don’t believe you can go wrong picking up either receiver though I would recommend going with Tim Patrick because his stat line has been more impressive in the 2 week span. Although Hamilton does have a one touchdown advantage over him, I like Patrick’s usage in the Broncos’ system.

Tight End

Chris Herndon NYJ (12%) Ahh the tight end position has been the toughest one to fill if you didn’t get a top option during the draft or off of waivers. If you’re struggling at the position and found your way into the Championship game, Herndon could prove to be a good streaming option. In Week 15, Herndon caught 3 of 4 passes for 53 yards. For Week 16, the Jets will face off against the Packers who allowed Trey Burton to catch 4 of 7 targets for 36 yards and a touchdown. When streaming tight end, I usually hope that they manage to find the endzone and I feel like Herndon is the best streamable bet for that this week.
