We finally have our Super Bowl LIII contenders and they are Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots.

This Super Bowl will feature one of the most exciting matches in the Super Bowl era, the past vs the future of the game, the Patriots Dynasty with one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL and one of the greatest QBs who have ever played, in the figures of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick , against the new blood of the NFL, The Rams, loaded with a lot of young talent like his QB Jared Goff, their RB Todd Gurley, and his Head Coach, the offensive genius Sean McVay..

We are going to have our Pick for the SB LIII ready, but it will not be today … today we are going to focus on the Pro Bowl.

PRO BOWL SEASON 2018

This week will take place the Pro Bowl, a game that has been losing interest from both, players and fans, year after year, the rosters are made based more on popularity than on the performance of the players and although there is a starting lineup , it is not really known how much time each player will play and how much effort they put on the game, so it is very difficult to predict a winner.

Pick of the week: AFC vs NFC Highs of 55 points

AFC vs NFC: As we mentioned before, in this game it is very difficult to predict a winner, but what we can predict is how many points will be scored… we will travel some years in the past and review the scores to make our point:

2008: The score was 42-30

2009: The score was 34-41

2010: The score was 55-41

2011: The score was 59-41

2012: The score was 62-35

2013: The score was 22-21

2014: The score was 32-28

2015: The score was 49-27

2016: The score was 13-20 (Lowest score of  last 10 years)

2017: The score was 24-23

I would bet the Over, because normally in this type of games the defense does not put a lot of effort, and the new rules are more favorable to the offence. Also, of the last 10 Pro Bowls, only three has been below the 60 points mark, although the last two Pro Bowls have been under. I think that this year it will be a lot of points once again.

Enjoy this weekend, the Super Bowl it’s just a few days away and wait for my article next week with my  Super Bowl LIII Pick.
