This is the best news I’ve heard all of 2019. I’m not exaggerating about that one damn bit. For years, followers of the Dude have been teased here and there about Jeff Bridges reprising the role of Jefferey Lebowski, the non-millionaire, and having some kind of sequel to The Big Lebowski, which came out in 1998. None of those teases ever amounted into anything, and honestly, I was fine with that. As much as I love everything Lebowski, Walter, Donny, God rest his soul, and the Jesus, I was always okay with The Big Lebowkski standing alone being my favorite movie of all time all while being one of the favorites of many out there.
But, now that it definitely looks like there is something tangible that will have the Dude in, whatever it is, I’m giddy like Jamal Adams blindsiding mascots. I’ve seen The Big Lebowski no less than 150 times, and it’s by far my #1 movie of all of time. If you somehow never of seen it, you better do the right thing and watch it yesterday. And if you don’t get it, I feel sorry that you’re a dumb dumb. I’ve learned so much from the Dude such as Caucasians make fantastic drinks and that you can’t be worried if you lose a little bit of money because life goes on man. Feels so good that the Dude is out there still taking it easy for all us sinners.
