On April 23rd, Mortal Kombat 11 was released. As a result, a gamer like myself, I had to get back into this series. As I played as Baraka, my favorite player, I started thinking. Which of these characters would go to which teams in this years NFL draft? So for that reason, and to have a little fun with it, in honor of this year’s draft here are the top 10 Mortal Kombat 11 draft picks for the NFL:

10. Denver Broncos

John Elway somewhat upgraded the quarterback position by trading for Joe Flacco. In order to make Flacco successful, they need to upgrade the offensive line. I think they will draft Jax at offensive tackle. He put up some huge strength numbers at the combine. With his bionic arms and hand strength, it makes it tough for defenders to swat away his hands once he latches on.

9. Buffalo Bills

Last years first round pick, Josh Allen, showed some talent and belongs in the NFL. Now is the time for the bills to surround him with some offensive pieces. Liu Kang I think fits the bill, no pun intended, at wide receiver. He posted an astonishing 3.8-second 40-yard dash. He also showed some hot hands, almost fireball-like, at the combine as well.

8. Detroit Lions

Matt Patricia knows defense and will be looking to add a defensive player here at 8. With the draft loaded with defensive line players, he’ll select D’Vorah here. She will also be the first of two female NFL players. D’vorah is a sack master. All she did in college was “swarm” the quarterback and devour them like a swarm of insects. I’ll even go as far as predicting she’ll break the season-long sack record.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars

With the addition of Nick Foles, that signaled the end of the Blake Bortles era. They still need to upgrade the position because Foles isn’t a young buck anymore. Cassie Cage is the right pick here if I’m the Jags. She showed undeniable leadership skills in college as well as a little Brett Farve in her as a gunslinger.

6. New York Giants

With the Giants supposedly sticking with Eli Manning for one more year, I think they don’t go the quarterback route here. I think they go and pick the thunderous hitting corner in Raiden. He’s quick and has a good jump on the ball. Almost teleporter like. He also may be the best defensive back in this draft or in our lifetime.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Even though Tampa bay publicly stated they’re behind Jamis Winston, I think Mr. Arians may have a different view. He is a very smart offensive minded coach. Furthermore, look for him to get Winston’s potential replacement in Geras. Very new to the game but shows a great ability to slow down the time on the field to pick defenses apart.

4. Oakland Raiders

This pick is one of the most obvious ones for good ol’ Chucky. In Jon Gruden’s first draft pick with the Raiders, after trading away Khalil Mack, the Raiders and company will draft edge rusher Baraka. A very fierce defender, who cuts through offensive lines like nothing, even looks like a Raider. He makes the raider fan mascot look like Barney.

3. New York Jets

Even though the Jets could trade out of the spot to collect draft assets, I think they will go with an offensive lineman. Kollector will be that pick and instantly upgrade their offensive line. His 6 arms is a huge ability that allows him to play every offensive line position at once. He also showed an enforcer like mentality last year in college, which help bring a nastiness to the line.

2. San Fransico 49ers

Like the Jets, there’s the possibility of trading down to collect future draft picks. If they do stay in the number 2 spot, I see them going defense. Nope, not Nick Bosa either. I think they surprise everyone and go with Kano at the safety position. He plays fast and hits like a mercenary. Once he sets his laser eye on you, you better brace yourself for impact.

1. Arizona Cardinals

They hold the million dollar question. Do we take Kyler Murray? Do we trade down? Nope. I think they keep the pick as well as Josh Rossen as the future quarterback and take the best overall wide receiver in the draft. You will hear Roger Goodell say “Get over here!!!!!” while looking at Scorpion. With his unhuman like reach and spear like grab, the tandem of Rosen and Scorpion will have highlight pass/catch combos for the next 10 years.

So that will wrap up our 18th Mortal Kombat Nfl draft preview this year. Until next time it’s your good friend Jimbo signing out.
