This weekend will mark three weekends in a row that there will be a Ufc fight night on espn+. It’s set up to be a decent card with Al Iaquinta facing off against Donald Cerrone. So let’s dive into fights.

Andre Barriault vs Andrew Sanchez

The main card starts off with a middleweight bout between Marc-Andre Barriault versus Andrew Sanchez. Both have close records so this could be a good fight to get the Ufc fights going. I’m going with Sanchez just because between the two he’s the one I remember seeing fight a little and was decent. I see this one going the distance, though, with Sanchez coming out on top.

Walt Harris vs Sergey Spivak

Next up on Ufc fight night: Laquinta vs Cerrone is Walt Harris versus Sergey Spivak in the heavyweight division. Sergey comes in undefeated at 9-0 and I think he extends it to 10-0 with a knockout because let’s be honest. Very rare you see a submission in this division. Also with the heavyweight division always being wide open, this may open some people’s eyes to give him maybe a top 3 guy.

Brad Kotna vs Merab Dvalishvili

Up next is a fight in the bantamweight division. I love this division because these little guys are fast and exciting. It’s Brad Kotna going against Merab Dvalishvili. I’m going with Merab Dvalishvili with the upset because Brad Kotna comes in undefeated. I like picking the underdog. I see this going to a decision though because it is rare to see a knockout in this division. It should still be excitingly to watch.

Cub Swanson vs Shane Burgos

Next up we have Ufc veteran Cub Swanson vs Shane Burgos. Cub has a lot more fights coming in but Shane Burgos posts a nice looking 9-1 record. With the experience that Cub has, I think will overwhelm the youngster. Even with the good looking record, I think Cub will come out on top because of that experience. Possibly get a Knock out of the Night award at this Ufc fight night.

Derek Brunson vs Elias Theodorou

Up next is the co-main event. We have Derek Brunson versus Elias Theodorou. This fight is a potential fight of the night. The bookies have this as an even match. I don’t blame them considering they have nearly identical records. I’m going with Derek Brunson with a decision but I expect a few knockdowns from punches and possibly getting the fight of the night award.

Al Iaquinta vs Donald Cerrone

We finally get to the main event. “The fight we’ve all been waiting for.” Well, I tried my best to do my Bruce Buffer impersonation but probably failed miserably. Now, this fight actually was plan B for Donald Cerrone. He originally was trying to get a fight together with Connor McGregor but fell through due to different reasons. Sounded like mostly Connor reasons. Anyways onto my pick. I’m going with Cowboy here. He’s always had good kicks and his boxing has gotten better. With a win, it should set him up for either a title shot or at a minimum a number one contender match.

So that will it for this UFC fight night preview. This is your good friend Jimbo signing out.
