The New York Yankees have been battling injuries since the baseball season started. Even with all the injuries the Yankees still have 41-26 record good for first place in the AL East. The Yankees are doing this without their two superstars Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge.

Stanton went on the injured list on April 1st with a left biceps strain before suffering a left shoulder strain. Stanton’s first rehab assignment was cut short because of left calf tightness. The former NL MVP homered twice in three games in his latest rehab assignment with Class A Tampa. He will join the Triple-A squad this weekend in Durham. If things go well Stanton will join the Yankees early next week

As for Aaron Judge, he has been out since April 21st with a left oblique strain. He could also play this weekend in Durham with the Triple-A squad along with Stanton.

The New York Yankees 31-16 without Stanton and Judge in the lineup. Several players have stepped while the two sluggers were out. Players such as outfielders Clint Frazier and Brett Gardner. Frazier has 11 home runs and is hitting .276, while Gardner is hitting just .228 but has 11 home runs himself.

Also picking the offensive slack are Gleyber Torres, Luke Voit, and Gary Sanchez. They have 50 home runs between the three of them. Sanchez has 20, Voit 16, and Torres 14. Along with those thee second baseman DJ LeMahieu is hitting .311 on the season.

Adding Stanton and Judge to the Yankees lineup will make the Yankees even scarier. With those two guys coming back gives the Yankees a more powerful and deeper lineup. Also, shortstop Didi Gregorius has returned to the Yankees also after missing the start of the season. Once healthy the Yankees will have a dangerous lineup and should be unstoppable. Being stacked with hitters, the big question is will the Yankees starting pitching hold up for them to win a World Series.
