Jimmy Uso Arrested For The Second Time This Year

Jimmy Uso has held several accolades over the course of his nine year WWE career.  This includes being a WWE tag champ on six separate occasions. Uso has also unfortunately held the negative distinction of having several run ins with the law. On the morning of Thursday July 25th, 2019, Jimmy Uso aka Jonathan Fatu was arrested for the second time this year. Uso was cited for speeding and driving erratically.

After being pulled over, the officer at the scene noticed the strong smell of alcohol coming from his vehicle. Uso was charged with driving under the influence. The police attempted to issue a field sobriety test. Uso declined to participate. This is Uso’s third DUI arrest. He was also arrested for the same crime in both 2011 and 2013.

February Arrest

Earlier this year, Uso was involved in an incident with Detroit police. Uso’s wife and WWE Superstar Naomi was pulled over for driving the wrong way down a one way street. Naomi was ordered to exit the vehicle and reportedly complied with the authorities.

However, Uso exited the vehicle removing his jacket and shirt and acted as if he wanted to fight the police. As a result, the officer drew his taser to protect himself because he was fearing for his safety. However, cooler heads prevailed. Uso was then handcuffed and charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Uso was taken to jail and posted bond.

WWE Statement

Earlier today, the WWE released a statement on the arrest “Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions”. The company has attempted to distance itself from the situation. However, both Fatu’s arrest history was brought up earlier this week during a segment of Monday Night Raw.

John Cena made fun of both Uso’s arrest history by rapping and referencing their mugshots. Fatu continues to be held behind bars on a $1000 bond.
