Free agency has been bananas this year, and July 1st wasn’t any different. It was announced on July 1, 2019, that Hassan Whiteside will be traded to the Portland Blazers. No Hassan Whiteside, No problem. The Miami Heat are trying to create cap space by trading Whiteside, this trade creates some leg room to acquire another star if possible.

What does this mean for Miami?

It simply means they have more room to acquire potential stars and role players. Hassan, in my opinion, did not focus on his game once he got the big contract. Whether there were not enough shooters on the team or he lost interest playing with the Heat. Whatever the case may be he wasn’t happy with the coaching staff and the lack of minutes. A new era, a new team and the big question is, will he deliver and perform to his potential?

No Hassan Whiteside: Bam Is The Future

No Hassan Whiteside

Bam Adebayo is the future for the Miami Heat. A young Center and future superstar who works hard, is dedicated, and hustles for every possession. He averages 8 points per game, 6.5 total rebounds. However, his free throw percentage is extremely impressive for a big guy averaging 72.8%. Bam has been in the league for two years now, therefore, there is room for improvement. Now that Whiteside is no longer on the team I’m pretty confident Bam will have his best year, explode and have his best season yet. Last season he managed 65 blocks and has a career total of 106 blocks.

Selected in the first round (14th overall) of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Heat. Two years in the league and he is breaking records in blocks as a Heat player. In addition, Bam is an exciting player to watch play and brings intensity on the floor. The future is bright for Bam in this league and for the Miami Heat. No, Hassan Whiteside, No Problem. HeatNation has Bam, Bam, Bam.
