Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been injury prone ever since he came into the league in 2011. Luck has another injury on his hands now. On that note Andrew Luck missing time.

He has not participated much in training camp and Andrew Luck is most likely not going to play a game in the preseason. According to General Manager Chris Ballard, Luck is dealing with a high ankle sprain and his status for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers on the road is very much in doubt.

Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay also spoke out on the issue the other day as well. He said it’s a “small little bone” issue in his left leg.

Luck was also dealing with a potential calf issue, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. If he is on the PUP list to start the season, Jacoby Brissett will be the starter to start the season and the backup quarterback will either be Chad Kelly or Phillip Walker.

Brissett wasn’t bad when he started 15 games in 2017 when Andrew Luck sat the entire season for the Indianapolis Colts. Jacoby Brissett completed 58.8 percent of his passes for 3,098 yards 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 260 yards on 63 carries and four touchdowns.

Luck bounced back in a big way last season in Frank Reich’s first season as head coach. Andrew Luck completed 67.3 percent of his passes for 4,593 yards 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also rushed for 148 yards on 46 carries. Luck also caught a pass for four yards receiving.

A lot of people are banking on him to have another solid season and maybe win the MVP Award for the first time in his career. Andrew Luck is 29 years old and he will also have two more years left on his contract.

Andrew Luck Missing Time

If Luck is out for an extended period of time, the Colts could miss the playoffs once again this season. Indianapolis started the season 1-5 last season and made it to the playoffs with a 10-6 record. A lot of people think they will win the AFC South.

The Tennessee Titans could very well win the AFC South if Andrew Luck misses time. I don’t trust the Houston Texans or the Jacksonville Jaguars to win the division.

The first six games of the season for Indianapolis is on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Tennesee Titans, at home against the Atlanta Falcons and the Oakland Raiders, on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs, bye week in Week 6, and then at home against the Houston Texans.

They would maybe go 2-4 or 3-3 at best without him. Indianapolis doesn’t have a tough schedule after those six games.

Realistically, I think Andrew Luck will be ready by Week 3 or Week 4. Andrew Luck will be missing time.
