The NBA schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season was released yesterday and folks have plenty to be happy about. The NBA had already released the Christmas games and now we have it all.

Let’s jump right into opening night. The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers will start the season off giving everyone a game to see. This rivalry will also be featured as one of the five games on Christmas day. We will see the New Orleans Pelicans and the world champion Toronto Raptors on opening night. Zion Williamson will be on display against the champs. Then, we have on October 23rd, a showdown between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Nuggets taking on the Trail Blazers in Portland. Two great games just to get the blood pumping on national TV. The NBA also moved game times up a half hour to help with some of the last night starts on the west coast this year.

Then on Thursday on October 24th, we will see the Milwaukee Bucks play the Houston Rockets. It’s a nice way for both teams to get started. Hit the court running with two former MVP’s and triple double king. Also, that night you will have the Clippers and the Golden State Warriors in the new home of the Warriors called the Chase Center. Another big game on October 25th is the Utah Jazz and the Lakers. Two teams that should be around the top in the West with something to prove. NBA on TNT post a list of the teams with the most appearances on TNT this year.

It should not surprise anyone that the Lakers and Warriors would led the teams on TNT this year with 12 appearances. Next on the last are the Clippers with 11 and then the Bucks and a few other with 10. Another big night will be Williamson making his home debut on Oct 25th against the Mavericks. The Pelican fans get to see their new team for the first time.

NBA Schedule 2019-20 Revenge Games

But lets get to the meat of the schedule, what has been called the revenge games. On October 28th, Chris Paul will return to Houston to face Harden and his new teammate Russell Westbrook. It should be fun but I don’t see a big rub in your face game. Paul is not that guy. On November 7th, Kemba Walker gets to go back to Charlotte and show Michael Jordan why he should have paid the man.

Another great match up will be on November 14th when Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks will be in New York as another great player the Knicks let go will come back to the Garden and shine.

On November 23rd, Jimmy Butler goes back to Philadelphia. Butler is sure to hear a few boo birds, but he has done this enough for it to just be another game. What should be a great game is Kyrie Irving retuning to Boston on November 27th as a member of the Brooklyn Nets. Irving will face a fan base that is sure to welcome him back. Wink Wink. Also on the 27th, Anthony Davis will return to New Orleans and face the Pelicans. I think Williamson may have that one circled as well. Kawhi Leonard returns to Toronto to face the Raptors on Dec 11th and Paul George to Oklahoma City on Dec 22nd.

This season will be full of all kinds of great match ups and it is sure to one of the best season in a long time. With this awesome NBA schedule now released, there should be something for ever fan from every team.
