Do the Sparks have a chance against the Connecticut Sun? With Thursdays semifinal game 2 loss they looked depleted. As if nothing was left in the tank. They have the pieces, the bench depth, and much more to defeat this dangerous Sun team. The Connecticut Sun took the W 94-68.

Sparks Need To Rebound More

The Sparks started off great and the backcourt was taking control of the game. The Sparks won the 1st quarter 22-15. Things look great for Los Angeles and appeared to be the team to win the game. Fresh legs, and fresh attitude. Chelsea Gray and Riquna Williams were taking control of the game. Gray finished with 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 10 points and her partner in crime Williams finished with 14 points,1 rebound and 6-13 from the field.

The Sparks need to do better at crashing the boards. Between the backcourt, they had a total of 5 rebounds. In order for the Sparks to win tomorrow, they must rebound, rebound and more rebounds. In total as a team, they had 24 rebounds. Unacceptable for a semifinals game. Rebounds win championships. Compare to the Connecticut Sun who had 46 total rebounds for the game.

Connecticut Sun

The Sun outrebounded them not only as a team but individual stars like Alyssa Thomas with 13 rebounds and Jonquel Jones with 13 rebounds as well. Courtney Williams had her best game in her career with 25 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds. Williams was unstoppable in Thursday’s game. She had the entire arena cheering for her including her dad. Mr. Williams has become an overnight celebrity and the best dad in the world cheering for his daughter and team. An incredible night for the Sun. A united and a team on a mission and that is to win a championship.

In conclusion, the Sparks need to play better as a team, crash the boards and play with energy and be aggressive on offense and defensive. Do the Sparks have a chance against the Connecticut Sun? We will see tomorrow at 7 PM ET. Connecticut leads the series 2-0.

Both the Sparks and Aces were exhausted before game 2 of the semi finals. In my opinion the time schedule caused the results of game 1 and 2.
Cut the season one or two games short, add those days to a rest period before the semis. For me we are not seeing the true Aces or Sparks.

Most definitely. You hit it right in the money Liz. That is exactly what Coach Fisher was saying yesterday at the press conference. Definitely not the true Sparks team and unfortunately they lost yesterday. I wanted to see more of the Sparks.
