Joe Johnson showed the world a thing or two with his Big 3 tournament performance. Proving that “Iso Joe” has still left in the tank to perform at the highest level. Being in the league was essentially Joe Johnson nationally televised tryout for the NBA again.

For those of you who don’t know what the Big 3 league is, it’s a league of primarily retired players playing 3 on 3 games. Rapper and entrepreneur Ice Cube is the creator and commissioner of the league. It has been a joy for NBA fans to see some retired players still trying to put a show on in the summer. Especially since there isn’t much going on basketball-wise in the summer. Luckily for this league, it brings in some pretty talented old guys like Joe Johnson. On Johnson’s one year in the league, he was already honored with the league’s MVP award.

The 7x all-star never officially retired from the NBA. Johnson showed his entire skillset in the Big 3 League. The mid-range game, post-up game, dribble drive, and three-point shooting. Plus a game-winning 4 point shot one of the games. Because of the performance, numerous teams have stepped up to plate to land Iso Joe.

Pretty much every contending team has at least thought of it but some teams are much more curious. Some of the teams are Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets have inquired the most. Brooklyn Nets and Detroit Pistons have also shown interest.

Johnson hasn’t played since 2017-2018 season split between the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets. He has made $220 million over his 17-year career so money isn’t a thing. Also being 38, he won’t be expected to play big minutes. If you need a big shot at the end of the game though it’s hard to pass on Iso Joe. This was Joe Johnson nationally televised NBA tryout.
