Dallas Cowboys look to keep their winning streak going when they take on a Brees-less New Orleans Saints. NFL Week 4 preview Dallas Cowboys vs New Orleans Saints.

The Cowboys and Saints will conclude Football Sunday with a primetime matchup. However, what would be the state of both teams when that happens? Let’s see what to expect for Sunday Night Football.

Dallas Cowboys Recap and Preview

The Cowboys had it easier on Sunday when they took down the Miami Dolphins 31-6. However, the first half surprisingly became a challenge for them. Brett Maher made a field goal followed by a touchdown from Amari Cooper got them in the lead with 10 points. It was then followed by an interception from Dak Prescott and two more punts before the Phins would catch up and end the first half with a score of 10-6. It was the second half where they brought the storm (and the touchdowns) to their opponents and never looked back.

This Sunday, Dallas has a chance to win in the Superdome for the first time in 10 years. They ended the Saints’ 13-game winning streak there at one point. Now they must put their undefeated record on the line against a team that has proven themselves formidable so far, even without their star quarterback. Dallas has a high-rated team on both sides with Ezekiel Elliott leading the rushers, and a returning Robert Quinn ready to keep making waves in the defense. The Saints defense will be their challenge once again. Trey Hendrickson leads the defense with three sacks, a factor Dallas must think about. Prescott was sacked seven times last November in their 13-10 win. Here’s to hoping that changes.

New Orleans Saints Recap and Preview

The Saints survived their first game this season without star quarterback Drew Brees. Out with a thumb injury for at least a month, backup QB Teddy Bridgewater stepped in and delivered the only way he could. He as quarterback helped the Saints dominate Seattle 33-27. Some highlighted plays included a 53-yard punt return by Deonte Harris and a 33-yard fumble return by Vonn Bell. Alvin Kamara led the offense with 16 carries for 69 yards and nine receptions for 92 yards with two touchdowns.

This week marks the second game where Bridgewater will start as quarterback. He is beginning his progress, but he will have keep facing the challenges lying ahead for him if he wants to play on Brees’ level. Last Sunday, he helped the team gain 265 yards and accounted for three of the five touchdowns from that game. The team would usually be one of the top five in the offense, but now they have to work their way back up there without Brees. Bridgewater’s performance there will also impact the overall record after the first half of the season. People can now only hope he will be enough to keep the Saints on the right path.

Who Has the Better Chance at Victory?

Cowboys vs Saints NFL

A quarterback battle between Prescott and Bridgewater will be interesting to watch. One of the factors to think about for this matchup is the teams’ offensive lines. On one side, you have Prescott, Zeke, Cooper, and Tony Pollard. Then you have Kamara, Michael Thomas and Bridgewater on the other side. Both sides are equally matched. However, if you pit a strong Dallas defense against the Saints, that defense will equal a wall they can’t walk through easily. I believe this game will be won by 14 points or less, and Dallas could be the team that finds a way to prevail in the end.
