Here we go again, folks! It’s time for the Week 3 fantasy football PPR Tight End Rankings, and this week we have a new number one at the top of the list. But first…I need to eat some crow.

I thought, as most others did, that Mark Andrews would take at least a slight step backward in Week 2 against the Cardinals. Not necessarily because he was playing the Cardinals, but because his Week 1 performance against the Dolphins was almost too good to be true. Well…he TOPPED that Week 1 performance of 8/108/1 with a Week 2 grab of 8/112/1! CRAZY production out of a TE. So hey…Mark…I’m sorry bro!

Week 3 Fantasy Football PPR Tight End Rankings

Week 3 FFB PPR TE Rankings

Top Tight End Of The Week

I am going with Zach Ertz as my #1 Tight End in Week 3. Ertz stepped up his performance in Week 2 against the Falcons with 8 catches and 72 yards receiving. Although Ertz is yet to find the end zone, the chances of that happening only increase this week when the Eagles take on the Lions, a secondary that has yet to be challenged by a team as focused on getting the ball into the hands of their Tight End. At 26% of the target share, the Eagles are 2nd highest in the league in throwing to the Tight End. Start Zach Ertz this weekend.

On The Rise

Week 3 Fantasy Football
Darren Waller, Tight End, Oakland Raiders

Darren Waller of the Oakland Raiders. I know the Raiders offense isn’t…sexy. But, Darren Waller is a pretty promising TE coming up in the league. He is clearly one of Derek Carr’s favorite choices, with 15 targets in 2 weeks…that puts him in a tie for 5th most in the NFL. Look for Waller to continue his target trend into Week 3 against Minnesota.

Thanks, But No Thanks

Week 3 Fantasy Football
Delanie Walker, Tight End, Tennessee Titans

Delanie Walker. The Titans offense has looked downright disgusting. I mean, not worse than the Dolphins…but up there. With just 32 points on the season, that’s good for 27th in the league and I am not craving me a piece of this offense right now. The good thing is that Delanie has seen 12 targets so far in the first two weeks of the season…that bad thing is that he is playing Jacksonville this weekend. They’re pretty good at defense. Steer clear big tuna, and head for open waters.
