Full Sail University will host another homecoming on Wednesday, October 30th with a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match. That’s right! The Kabuki Warriors are coming home to NXT!

This past Wednesday, Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox (#TeamKick) earned their title shot when they defeated two of the MMA Four Horsewomen, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. Both ladies recently returned to NXT from catastrophic knee injuries. Kai tore her ACL during an NXT live event in January 2019, and every fan remembers the heartbreak that Nox showed after tearing several ligaments in her knee during the 2018 Mae Young Classic.

This will be the first defense of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the black and gold brand. The champs, Asuka and Kairi Sane, surprised Kai and Knox after their victory with a simple message – They didn’t stand a chance.

Everyone knows that the champs hold NXT near and dear to their hearts. Both women are former NXT Women’s Champions. Sane earned her stripes early as the winner of the Inaugural Mae Young Classic. As for Asuka, do I even have to mention her accomplishments?

Let’s not forget the wild cards that could get involved with this match! Although they’ll have a match of their own that same night, I wouldn’t be surprised if Candice LeRae or Io Shirai found their way to ringside. LeRae is close friends with both Kai and Nox. On the flip side, Io has a long-time relationship with both Kairi Sane and Asuka.

Now that the Kabuki Warriors are coming home to NXT, will other tag teams step forward to challenge or will this be a one-time deal? Can the champs continue their reign or will the belts remain on NXT with Team Kick? Wednesday can not get here fast enough!

Until next time, Belly Up fans!
