It’s the time of the year when the bitterest of rivalries are put on the back burner and brand pride is the most important thing.  It’s Survivor Series time. Normally it is just RAW v SmackDown, but this year, with the inclusion of NXT, we get the dream matches we have wanted.  We can get Team NXT v Team RAW v Team SmackDown.  The November 1st, 2019 episode of Smackdown proved just that, with the first shots fired by NXT and Triple H, with an emphatic scene of NXT holding the ring.  And now the wonderment of endless possibilities begins.

Let’s look at the women to start.

Shayna Baszler v Becky Lynch v Bayley, on paper all three should “hate” each other.  However, you could see team work with Becky and Bayley due to their Four Horsewomen status.  One thing I have always heard from all of them, is that they are a family, sisters, and well sisters fight, sisters fight hard.  But when you mess with one sister, the rest will always come to their aid.  So it keeps the fuse lit for the hopefully Four Horsewomen vs Four MMA Horsewomen match.  Either way this will be a banger of a match.

Then you have the traditional 5 v 5 v 5, and that as well can set up for banger matches.  NXT could have Bianca, Rhea, Tegan, Io, and Mia Yim taking on for RAW Charlotte, Asuka, Kairi, Natalya and Liv Morgan taking on Sasha, Alexa, Nikki Cross, Sonya and Lacey.  That is 15 women that can put on absolute amazing singles matches, and teaming up, you know will fight tooth and nail for their brand despite all the bad blood between them all.  The animosity has started already with Bayley going after Tegan on Social Media, and vice versa.  Bayley is also going after Shayna as well.

On to the men’s side of the roster for Survivor Series

Adam v Brock v The Fiend, wow, just simply wow.  Three amazingly talented men, including Brock, no matter the amount of grief he gets for being a part timer, he is an amazing athlete.  Adam can sell like no one’s business and The Fiend, well, that warped creature that comes from nightmares can honestly make you feel like not even Suplex City can stop him after showing that Seth Rollin’s stomps do nothing to faze him.  Honestly, I felt that the Daniel Bryan v Brock Lesnar match of last year was very underrated and honestly made you see a new side of Daniel that we hadn’t seen before.

You will also have the Men’s tag Division going toe to toe, especially with two highly decorated teams in The Revival and Viking Raiders.  Plus, you have all the wars that the Viking Raiders and Undisputed Era have gone through.  Setting up a damned good “who has the best tag team match,” we haven’t had in AGES.  These teams will go to hell and back to prove how good they are.  This will also help put am emphasis on the lack of a tag division which is missing from the Raw and Smackdown shows.

And then we have Roderick v AJ v Shinuske, another champion v champion v champion match.  These three men have fought all over the world, putting their heart and soul into every match.  We already know the amazing matches that AJ and Shinuske can put on, and adding a wild card like Roddy into the mix makes the match even more exciting.  Just look at his triple threat with Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic, even before the interference of Undisputed Era.  The King of Strong Style v The King of the Back Breaker.  Sign us up.

And let’s not forget the traditional 5 v 5 v 5.  Now, that can be so many different combinations.  The one thing, with the NXT brand, is that you need to have Finn Balor somewhere on this team, along with Ciampa, especially after that amazing match that he and The Miz put on with such short notice.  Also think a big man like Keith Lee needs to be there along with Matt Riddle.  You could add Gargano, or maybe put Lio Rush on the team.  And for Team SmackDown , Braun, Miz, Bryan, Roman and Ali.  Man, Braun and Keith going at it, in the ring, and Keith can fly.  For Team RAW they should have Aleister, Andrade, Ricochet, Drew and Seth.  Again these 15 men can put on absolute amazing matches, and it will be 100% chaos in the ring.

The match possibilities are endless right now.  This has sparked so much going into the 22 days leading up to Survivor Series.  With their invasion and takeover of Friday night SmackDown, the fuse has been lit, and we as wrestling fans, and WWE fans, are in for a wild month, and an even wilder Survivor Series.  While what happened with the SmackDown talent getting stuck in Saudi was complete happenstance, the outcome of the NXT talent coming through like they did, only sets up the Invasion angles, payback angles and even Social Media wars to the next level, and as fans, we should hope they keep their foot on the gas.
