This week the Chiefs, Chargers, Cardinals and the Vikings are all on bye week which means many fantasy teams are missing some very important players, especially at the WR and TE position. There is still hope on the Week 12 top waiver wire with some players in a prime spot for a big week ahead of them. These are some guys who are universally on most waiver wires but keep an eye out for some people you deem to be better options. Also, you may find some good banged-up players like Devonta Freeman and Emmanuel Sanders on there who will be very good stashes in the coming weeks from guys who desperately needed the extra roster spot.

Bo Scarbrough

Who would have thought after all of the hype Ty Johnson and J.D. McKissic have been receiving these past few weeks since Kerryon Johnson went down that Scarbrough may end up being the RB to own in that backfield? He made a name for himself at Alabama mostly due to his size and how hard he was to bring down which has seemed to remain the case in the NFL. When he got a chance against the Cowboys who drafted him two years back, he didn’t disappoint. On 14 carries he accumulated 55 yards and a touchdown averaging a modest 3.9 yards per carry against a very talented defense. Do remember, this was just after being pulled up from the practice squad. Now, he has time to get a real week of practice. Up next he has the Redskins who have been generous to rushers this year.

James Washington

 Week 12 Waiver Wire

With Juju Smith-Schuster not expected to play and Diontae Johnson coming off of a gruesome hit against the Browns, Washington seems like he will be the go-to option this weekend. Washington has been hit or miss so far this year but has a large opportunity in front of him. James will be up against a Bengals team missing three starters in their secondary. This including their top corner so Washington has the potential for multiple big plays in this game. With concerns about Conner potentially not playing this Sunday this could end up being a huge week where he makes a name for himself. This year Washington has a stat line of 23 receptions, 369 yards, and 1 touchdown. He also averages an impressive 16 yards per catch. With a roster percentage of only 20.6% on ESPN, he is super available and a good streaming option.

DeVante Parker

 Week 12 Waiver Wire

Who would have guessed Fitzmagic would finally help bring Parker into relevance? He currently has 40 receptions for 604 yards and 4 touchdowns. With games against the Browns, Eagles, Jets, Giants, Bengals, and Patriots. It isn’t unreasonable to believe he may surpass 1,000 yards. Especially now that Preston Williams is done for the season. He has many good match-ups coming up including the one this week against a Browns. Their defense is missing their star DE and starting DT after the fight last week. But, one of their starting Safeties is also out due to last week’s game. This should open up an opportunity for Parker to have a big game. Also, you can keep him around for a while if some of your top WRs or flex options are hurt.

Ryan Griffin

 Week 12 Waiver Wire

With Herndon officially done for the year, Griffin has the starting TE position locked up. Griffin currently is a boom or bust option and should only be started in a desperate situation. With that being said, he has been performing well recently. With guys like Kelce, Henry and Rudolph all out this week, he seems to be a viable option. He is up against the Raiders defense who have been allowing the 29th most fantasy points to TEs this year. He has a favorable matchup in which he can easily capitalize on. In the past four weeks, Griffin has posted three good weeks and deserves consideration to be picked up this week. I would strongly urge you to test him out if you’re in a jam for a TE this week.
