The No.2 Oregon Ducks started Pac-12 league play last week, and they did not disappoint. Last week the Ducks beat Colorado 104-46 and beat Utah 88-51. That is a combined margin of 95 points in two games.
Oregon Vs. Colorado
Oregon opened the Pac-12 with a massive win against Colorado, they led the game by as many as 61 points. Star player Sabrina Ionescu had 21 points and seven assists. She also became the 12th woman to reach 900 assists in NCAA history. Ruthy Hebard scored 21 points too, and it put her over 2,000 points for her career.
The Oregon Ducks shot 50% for the game from the field and 47% from three-point land. Oregon’s defense held Colorado to just 26% shooting from the field, there highest scored only nine points. Colorado came into the game 12-0 and got utterly dismantled by Oregon.
Oregon Vs. Utah
In Oregon’s route against Utah, Sabrina Ionescu scored 19 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Minyon Moore added 17 points, and Ruthy Hebard scored 13 points and 12 rebounds, giving her 46th double-double.
The Ducks managed to force 20 turnovers and held Utah shot only 37% for the game. Oregon outrebounded Utah 40-25 with 16 offensive rebounds as well. At the end of the first quarter, the Ducks led Utah by 19 points.
Oregon Dominated in the paint not just rebounding but scoring as well, they outscored Utah 50-18 in the paint and also won second chance points 17-2.
Both these games were never in doubt, Oregon leads the nation scoring offense, has started to play fierce lockdown defense. The Ducks are ranked No.2 and improved their record to 12-1. Oregon has also won six games in a row. This week the Ducks play on the road at Arizona State and Arizona. Arizona State is 11-4, and Arizona is ranked No.18 and is 13-1. It will be some exciting games.
