Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls Children of All Ages, It is your good buddy @KC_CARLYLE coming at you again. Today we will talk about five pieces of odd but cool wrestling merchandise and five that are just plain odd. Now on to the odd pieces of merch.

#10 Odd-WWF Squirt Heads.

I don’t know much about these, I will say that honestly. Anyways I was growing up when these were released. Looking at the superstars included in this picture above, and the toys themselves they were pretty self explanatory. Fill your favorite superstar with water. Then squirt your parents or your little sister with your favorite superstar.

#9 Odd yet cool-WCW Racing Champions

These were and still are, some of my favorite pieces from WCW merchandise. Being a kid who was absolutely obsessed with Hot Wheels made these the best of both worlds. I could get my favorite WCW wrestlers in a toy represented on a car. The only problem I had with them, was they were more of a collectors kind of car. So with that being said, they always felt like they were not as sturdy as Hot Wheels.

8. Odd-WWF Maximum Sweat

The WWF Maximum Sweat series was just bizarre. This series did exactly what it said the sweated a lot. This particular figure was quite interesting in its own right. You can clearly see that you could remove Kane’s mask. During this time in history, Kane would have never removed his mask since was so new and was literally on fire. Odd piece of merch.

7. Odd-WWE Cooking Appliances

So with this wafflemaker you can have a WWE Championship breakfast, just like your favorite superstars. This is a little much for me. So it’s good that it has so much kooky appeal and novelty value. I would not spend money on this though, mostly because I just eat frozen waffles. It still a fun quirky item though. Odd piece of merch.

#6 Odd yet cool- WWF Wrestling Buddies

Where do I even start with WWF Wrestling Buddies! In my childhood these were some of the coolest toys you could get. I really liked the fact L.O.D. came as a tag-team two pack. My favorites that I wanted as a kid included Jake the Snake, L.O.D., and The Ultimate Warrior. Sadly, I never got any of these toys during my childhood. So with the price of the collectors market today, the chances of me owning any are sadly pretty slim.

#5 Odd but cool- WWF Tabletop Pinball Game

These small tabletop machines were another staple of my childhood. Pretty much every band and popular tv show had their own machine. This one in particular is much harder to find. I don’t remember seeing this in the wild. That being said I know I played the older machines, your Hulk Hogan edition and there were also other WWF Superstars on the play fields. Usually about six or eight superstars mostly tag teams on the play field. Then a main event star on the backboard.

#4 Odd – WWE Talking Soap

I don’t even know where to start with this one. This is just ridiculous. The probem is that a friend I had in grade school had The Rock version of this soap. I can’t stress enough “the what were you thinking”, when I look at this. The talk box had terrible audio quality to boot. So all I can say is wow. This definetly is an odd piece of merch.

#3. Odd-WCW Hero Heads

The WCW Hero Heads are downright scary. Especially The Vader one. Sting is really the only one of these that would not have scared me as a kid. Luckily I was’t watching WCW when these came out. They pushed these pretty hards from the commercials I have seen. So I also somewhat remember Jim Ross pushing these when he was working on the announce table. So that being said these are a no go for me. One odd piece of merch.

#2. Odd yet cool- The Fiend Lantern Replica

I am a HUGE fan of “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt! With his recent loss at Super ShowDown. So I am a bit upset with recent booking decisions right now, but thats enough about that. With Tom Savini at the helm, his merchandise is excellent. This is a reasonably priced item, so I am looking forward to picking one up. With the creative people behind all of his merch. The quality is sureto be good. Plus it just looks cool as all get out. This is definetly odd but cool and not plain odd.

#1 Odd yet cool- WWF Superstar Shootout

Now this one takes the cake for me! This my dream toy as a kid. I grew up in St. Louis, so Blues Hockey was a big thing in our city. St. Louis also has quite the rich wrestling history. When I look at this table top hockey game all I do is smile. I love that every character’s hockey stick is tied into their character. Ted DiBiase’s is money, Big Boss Man has a nightstick handle. Sgt. Slaughter’s stick handle is a rifle, Rick Martel’s stick blade is his atomizer. Macho Man has his scepter for his stick handle, while Mr. Perfect used just a regular stick I believe since he was “The Perfect Athlete.” Ultimate Warrior’s stick is his arm tassel’s, while Hulk Hogan’s hockey stick is made out of a barbell. So finally, we get to my favorite with Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Jake Roberts stick is just his snake Damien. So that’s where it puts me over the top with joy. Now in doing research for this piece, I found photos of different wrestlers for this. These unfortunately are selling for MASSIVE money. So like the wrestling buddies, I think this will probably stay in the wish column.
