This NBA season has been one of the weirdest that I have experienced. As most of you know, the season was suspended indefinitely on March 11, 2020. Other leagues around the world followed this and suspended their own. I really miss basketball.

Here are a few reasons why I personally miss this NBA season as a Thunder fan:

  1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander growing in front of our eyes.

This season has been full of hope for Thunder fans. Making a jump to 19.3 PPG, Shai’s offensive game has taken a massive jump. The buckets are nice, but a change for us Thunder fans. We went from having Russell Westbrook who went 90 mph to silky smooth Shai.

  1. The notorious three-man lineup.

The three-point guard line-up, consisting of Shai, Chris Paul, and Dennis Schröder, was thrilling to watch this season. I questioned how a line-up with three-point guards. I ate my words very early in the season. This line-up was very efficient. They all shot the mid-range shot very consistently all season, as well.

  1. CP3 and late-game comebacks.

Chris Paul has led this team to many comeback wins this season. He was very clutch this season and very consistent late in the game. The Chris Paul – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – Dennis Shröder – Danilo Gallinari – Steven Adams line-up has been clutch for the team all season.

  1. Playoffs.

The NBA Playoffs were right around the corner. At 40-24, the Thunder were expected to make the playoffs and at the time, were the fifth seed in the Western Conference. I had no clue what to expect at the start of this new era, but the playoffs were not it.

  1. What do I do?

Not only was basketball shut down, the whole world did. I have no source of entertainment. I watched basketball every night and then it was just gone all of the sudden and I did not know how to replace it.
