AEW Dynamite comes to us live tonight for the first time in six weeks from inside Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

  • Lance Archer vs. QT Marshall
  • Jon Moxley vs. Frankie Kazarian (Non-title)

Cody vs. Joey Janela

Cody is coming off stellar performances against the likes of Shawn Spears and Darby Allin. Now that he has reached the finals, it’s time for him to focus on Lance Archer – or so we thought.

In an interview with Tony Schiavone, Cody said, “We have to have matches. Joey Janela is a match I wanted on a short list of matches that I really wanted in 2020. Joey, a completely different competitor and maybe that’s what I need.” He said, “I’m not looking at this as a warm-up match by any means. You can’t with someone like the Bad Boy.”

Cody is taking this match seriously, but should he be taking it at all in the first place? Archer could be waiting in the wings tonight, planning an attack on Cody to get the upper hand for Double or Nothing. Cody should probably keep his head on a swivel tonight.

Matt Hardy and Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara

This is a dream-match scenario here with the team of Omega and Hardy. Hardy, making his in-ring debut tonight on AEW Dynamite, will team up with one of the best wrestlers in the world to take on the Inner Circle. This match however, is a street fight.

The “Elite Deletion” has been teased over vignettes filmed by Jericho and Hardy over the past few weeks. Hardy’s signature cinematic battles have caught on throughout the wrestling world. This past Wrestlemania is a great example of how cinematic wrestling can be amazing with the Boneyard Match as well as the Firefly Fun House match.

With obvious tension rising between the teams, the street fight is a good stipulation to choose here and will no doubt give us a great match.
