In a new zoom media meeting held by the Los Angeles Sparks yesterday. Marie Gülich was happy to be reunited with Brittney Sykes. It’s the team’s new roster. The Sparks trading Kalani Brown to the Atlanta Dream and the Sparks getting Marie and Brittney in return. It was a sweet deal. Even though I am still upset Brown is no longer a Spark. Gülich is the new center in Los Angeles.

Marie Gülich and Sydney Wiese Reunion

Marie is extremely excited to soon be reunited with Sydney Wiese in Los Angeles. A college teammate and overseas partner. Here is what Marie Gülich had to say about being traded to Los Angeles and having a reunion with her pal Sydney:

“I’m so excited to be back with Syd, honestly when I heard I got traded that was the first person I called. It was 2 a.m. in the morning for me here and it was like the first thing, I got to call Syd. So I called her and she was like you have to be kidding me, like this can’t be true because we’ve been talking about this, imagine we would play together, we would always think about playing in Europe together because that’s where we have more control of where we could play together. ”

Marie averaged 3.3 points per game and 2.7 total rebounds with the Dream. Her game has vastly improved according to the stats. However, Marie can do it all for a big. That will help the Sparks with steals, blocks, and assist. They need a big that can handle Brittney Griner, Sylvia Fowles, and so on. This will be her third year in the league if a season occurs.

She will only get better and now having Sydney as a teammate she will not only have fun but learn a new system. I already can tell Marie is going to make an impact in Los Angeles and with her teammates once the season starts. Marie Gülich is the new center in Los Angeles.

Marie answered a few questions from media members. Here is what she had to say to one of the media members:

Sabreena Merchant, SB Nation: This question is for the both of you, I’m curious what the experience of virtual training camp has been like so far?

Marie Gülich:

I thought it was really interesting at first, just like it’s a weird way to meet a new
team the first time. Some people have already been on the team, so they already know each other and then coming in as a new person I felt like, over the screen, it’s just different. Because you can’t have the connection you have in the locker room or after practice or things like that. ”
