Pocono Xfinity Green 225; Stage One
Noah Gragson leads in his Bass Pro Shops #9.
Trouble early on lap one! Today’s truck series race winner, Brandon Jones, gets loose and goes hard into the inside wall.
Gragson and Allgaier are on the front row.
On lap 5, there’s a crash and the caution is out. The #92 of Josh Williams and the #08 has heavy damage.
The front row remains the same.
Ross Chastain has the lead! Gragson takes it back!
Erik Jones is sliding down the track and hard into the wall. He was riding solo and got loose. Jones says spilled oil onto the track is what caused it.
At the restart, Austin Cindric is in the lead.
Caution on the final lap of stage one. Alex Labbe is into the corner of the inside wall.
Cindric wins stage one.
Stage Two
Chastain leads!
The top five is Ross Chastain, Justin Allgaier, Noah Gragson, Austin Cindric, and Justin Haley.
The #9 of Chastain and others have decided to pit. Allgaier moves to the top spot.
Justin Allgaier wins stage two!
Final Stage; Xfinity at Pocono
Ross Chastain takes the lead again. Allgaier follows behind in 2nd.
Riley Herbst is spinning. Justin Haley tagged Herbst in the rear corner and he spun around. NASCAR has parked Haley on pit road for two laps for aggressive driving. Justin Haley and his crew chief must pay a trip to the NASCAR hauler after the race.
At the green flag, Chastain leads.
Gragson is loose and collects Daniel Hemric, Austin Cindric, and Justin Allgaier. Four big contenders in today’s race.
The green flag is waving! Chase Briscoe has the lead.
Briscoe has a flat tire and he spins!
Less than 20 to Go!
Myatt Snider leads the field!
18 laps to go!
Chastain is coming fast in 2nd behind Snider.
Chastain is to the outside. They’re side by side! There is still 14 laps to go! Chastain takes the lead!
Snider falls to P2 and now Chase Briscoe is looking make a pass. Briscoe takes 2nd.
Briscoe is chasing down Chastain for the lead! He looks to the outside, but Chastain blocks! Chase Briscoe moves to the outside corner. He has the lead! Chastain takes the lead back!
Briscoe falls behind Chastain again, but is soon back to the door of the #10. Chase Briscoe is in the lead!
With 5 laps to go, the caution is out.
My good friend, Chad Finchum, got into the wall hard. He climbs out and heads to the infield care center.
2 laps to go at the restart!
Briscoe has a big lead in front of Chastain.
