Today the NASCAR Cup Series is at Atlanta Motor Speedway! The last time the series was here, Brad Keselowski came out with a win. Who will take the checkered flag today? Wingman Sports has made our race day picks for Atlanta for the Folds of Honor Quiktrip 500!

Race Day Picks for Atlanta

Brittany Reed: Kevin Harvick

My race day pick for today is Kevin Harvick. Not only has Harvick finished in the top ten (14 top tens to be exact) in most of his starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway but he has two wins here. Those wins included his first time in the series at Atlanta when he was with Richard Childress Racing and his recent 2018 win. Harvick is not new to victory lane this year, as he won the first race back at Darlington last month.

Brian Sykes: Martin Truex Jr.

In the last five races at Atlanta, Martin Truex Jr. ended the day with a top-ten finish. More specifically, in 2017 he finished in 8th, in 2018 he finished in 5th, and last year he was the runner up. Could this be a trend? Is today the day Truex parks it in victory lane for his first time at Atlanta Motor Speedway?

Timothy Hammond: Chase Elliott

Atlanta Motor Speedway is home for Chase Elliott, as he was born and raised just two and a half hours away. Anytime a driver wins at a place close to home it’s always special. Elliott has only been to Atlanta four times in the Cup Series, but all finishes were in the top 20. His last race here was the lowest finish out of the four so he will be arriving at the track today hungry for improvement.

Glenn Earnhardt: Joey Logano

For last week’s Wingman Sports race day picks, Earnhardt chose Keselowski who ended up taking the win on Sunday at Bristol. Today, he has decided to go with his teammate, Joey Logano. Logano’s highest finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway was in 2013 when he finished P2 and he has four top-ten finishes here.

Will it be a first-time winner at Atlanta Motor Speedway or will it be a returning champion? Tune in to FOX at 3 PM today to find out if the Wingman Sports race day picks for Atlanta are right! Stay tuned to Belly Up Sports for more race recaps later this week!
