What a performance by Heat rookie Tyler Herro last night. He torched the Celtics for 37 points breaking the Heat rookie record which was previously held by Dwayne Wade. Jayson Tatum was a little late to the party but was able to put up a good game considering he went scoreless in the first half.
This game was close all game. There was a lot of back and forth there was even a lot of cold stretches by both teams. It was almost as if the long layoff between games 3 and 4 was a little to long for them. Once the second half started then it seemed that Miami woke up while Boston was hitting snooze on their alarm clock.
C-Average doesn’t Win Games
This Celtics loss comes despite having edged the heat out in rebounding and assists. The deciding factor in this game was turnovers with the Celtics turning the ball over 19 times to Miami’s 8 turnovers. Needless to say, the Celtics had some issues holding onto the ball. Miami used those turnovers to score 17 points where the Celtics were only able to put up 9 points off of Miami’s 8 turnovers.
The Celtics decided to start the game settling for shots instead of driving towards the basket which was their key to success in game 3. The Celtics use their players’ driving ability to open up shots for their perimeter shooters. That was not the case in the first half. Jayson Tatum got going halfway through the third quarter exploding for 16 points. He would finish the game with 28 points. After the game, Jayson Tatum made it known that they are aware of the current situation and they have to be better.

The First Avenger
Tyler Herro lifted the Heat to this win. He came off the bench and hit 14/21 from the field for 37 points. The wild thing about this was that, with all of his points, Tyler Herro was still a -4 while on the court. That means that even though he scored 37 points for the Heat, his net score while on the court is Celtics +4. That is an absurd stat. The scariest thing is that he is only 20 years old so he might not even be scratching the surface with his game. When asked about his game Herro said that he is used to betting on himself.

Late in the game Heat big man got tangled up with a Celtics player fighting for position to get a rebound. Bam played the rest of the game injured and could not use his hand. Still waiting on the injury report to see what it could be but it did not look good. Hopefully it’s not to serious but this could be a turning point for the Celtics if they can get some momentum going.
