Alex Cora is back baby, and the Red Sox are back on track! In the worst kept secret since the Zimmermann Telegram, Red Sox ownership finally did something intelligent. Before I get ahead of myself, what does this mean for Alex Cora and the Red Sox?

VINDICATION

That investigation by the MLB was a fucking witch hunt. You know it, I know it, Rob Manfred knows it. The Red Sox lost a second round pick and their manager for a year after “stealing signs,” which is bullshit! Should the Red Sox have been fined/stripped of a pick? Perhaps. You know who else should have been punished? Literally every team in baseball. Now, we don’t have time to argue all of that, but there’s one team that escaped punishment entirely.

The New York Yankees

Before you say “Kev, you’re just a biased Red Sox fan, of course you’d argue that.” You’re just as biased by arguing the Yankees shouldn’t have been looked into. The MLB said the Yankees “improperly used a dugout phone,” and nothing else. After it was alleged they used YES Network cameras to steal signs, Rob Manfred just said there “wasn’t enough evidence.” Kind of weird he knows that after not investigating the Yankees. You read that right, there was no investigation, even after Carlos Beltran said the Astros were “behind the times” in their sign stealing after coming from the Yankees. Huh. Must be nice to the MLB’s darling child and not win a World Series in over a decade.

Ok, back to Alex Cora and the Red Sox.

Alex Cora Will Lead the Red Sox to Greatness

Red Sox fans were split on the Alex Cora re-hiring.

Well, I have one thing to say to all haters and losers (of which, sadly, there are many):

Oh boo hoo, Alex Cora won the Red Sox a ring, the players love him, and you’re mad he was rehired? That’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion. I’d just better not see you on the parade route after they win the 2021 World Series.

Alex Cora is back, and the dynasty is back on! Place your bets now, and make some money.

I am pumped about Alex Cora, and I don’t care how annoyed this made you. Maybe I’ll even change my name on Twitter (@BellyUpKev), who knows?
