More than what the team had apparently. Even with Pro Football Focus’s 12th ranked Quarterback Daniel Jones sidelined with an injury, the Seahawks couldn’t have looked more pathetic following their abysmal 17-12 loss to the well coached NY Giants. And like my biological father, Russell Wilson’s MVP case has vanished into thin air. Just when you thought the Seahawks couldn’t play any worse than they did in their first meetings with the Rams and Cardinals, Russell made us hold their beer.

The third down issues continued as Seattle went 4-13, including 0-2 on fourth down. Russell Wilson was continuously under pressure, indecisive, and his receivers couldn’t get open. Five sacks, an interception, all the tears my body could muster, and a lost fumble later, the Seahawks looked like absolute frauds against the Colt McCoy led Giants.

Russell Wilson kicked off this season 5-0 having thrown 19 touchdowns to three interceptions. By far and away the MVP front runner. They’re now 3-4 in their last seven with Russell Wilson throwing 13 touchdowns, eight interceptions, and having four lost fumbles. At this point, week to week, I’m never quite sure what Seahawks team or what Russell Wilson we’re going to get. And at this rate, the Seahawks will once again win 10 or 11 games, and yet still leave the playoffs earlier than they should.

Looking Forward

The Seahawks do have a chance to get the bad taste out of their mouth’s when they take on the 0-12 NY Jets. Even if the Jets somehow manage to get a late lead on Seattle, it shouldn’t matter. They’re legitimately trying to lose.

Between the horror show that is Adam Gase, the Jets defense, and mistake prone Sam Darnold, Seattle should win this game with relative ease. They have by far and away the better Quarterback and head coach.

So with that being said, if the Seahawks manage to lose this game, they should forfeit the rest of the season, and STOP THE COUNT.

Kendrick Lindsay

Growing up in a single-parent household came with its perks and downsides. Perk, I became very close to my mother. The downside, she wasn't a sports watcher. It wasn't until I was 15 years old that I was introduced to the world of sports/sports media. That's when I truly fell in love with it all. And it wasn't the X's and O's that won me over, it was the deep-rooted stories of the business, the athletes, and the ever so changing nature of sports that intrigued me. As a recent college graduate and Communications major, I hope to put my imprint on the sports media world.
