On March 27th, we will witness the highly anticipated rematch between two of the most devastating strikers in MMA history. The current champion, Stipe Miocic, is arguably the greatest MMA heavyweight of all time. The challenger, Francis Ngannou, is MMA’s version of a human highlight reel. The heavyweight division is the most popular and exciting division in combat sports. They are often referred to as the “Baddest Men on the Planet!” With human beings that big and strong, throwing hands at that speed, someone is bound to go to sleep. All that being said, Miocic vs Ngannou II at UFC 260 will end in a knockout… right? Well, I don’t know! Here we go again!

Miocic vs Ngannou I

The first fight between these two warriors happened on January 20th, 2018, though they had been on a collision course since 2017. Miocic was building his legend as the world’s greatest heavyweight, beating future Hall of Famers along the way. This was his record-breaking, third consecutive title defense.

Ngannou destroyed every competitor put in the octagon with him. He was putting opponents down so furiously, the only thing missing was a little bird floating around their heads! Ngannou was so white-hot during the lead-in, he was widely predicted to win the match.

Well, it didn’t go that way. Miocic dominated from beginning to end, showing the world that he is the champ.

G.H.O.A.T Stipe

Stipe Miocic is the greatest heavyweight of all time! Period! Before anyone calls me out, and brings up Fedor, don’t! The size and striking of Miocic would be too much for him. Fedor would be BBQ chicken by round two with Miocic. Miocic has solidified himself as the greatest heavyweight in MMA history. Prevailing in the trilogy with Daniel Cormier sealed that deal.

Oh, and he was also working as a firefighter during that time. That’s correct, a real-life fireman. Like, full suit, running into buildings and pulling people out. How crazy is that?

Has Ngannou Gotten Better?

Francis Ngannou was on an amazing run before being beaten by Miocic. He was making a name for himself as the boogeyman of the UFC. After the Miocic fight, he lost to Derrick Lewis in a very boring match. Ngannou has since turned it around, and he is back at the number one contender spot. The multi-million dollar question now is – what’s different this time around?

After Ngannou’s four-win streak, it’s clear that he still has TNT in those hands. Just ask Jairzinho Rozenstruik! One noticeable difference in Ngannou’s training is a certain welterweight monster. That’s right folks, he is working out with none other than Kamaru Usman. Usman is the current welterweight champ, carving out his own legacy in a historically loaded division, and he will be in Ngannou’s corner.

Predictions For Miocic vs Ngannou II

Now for the fun stuff. I bet you are all wondering who I will pick to win, right? I believe at Miocic vs Ngannou II on March 27th, you will hear Bruce B yell at the top of his lungs, “And new…” That’s right, I’m picking Miocic. He is too dominant of a wrestler. I understand Ngnannou is working on his weakness with Kamaru Usman, who is also great, but I don’t think it will be enough. The way Miocic has fought over the last five years, I am not sure if any heavyweight can beat him.

The great American philosopher Ric Flair once said, “To be the man, you got to beat the man!” There may not be a man alive that can bet Miocic, man!
