Yankees 2021 Starting Rotation

With spring training under way, I thought I would give you my Yankees 2021 Starting Rotation.

The rotation has many unanswered questions but I do think the follow to happen. I do expect the rotation to be as follows: Gerrit Cole, Corey Kluber, Jordan Montgomery, Jameson Taillon, Devi Garcia. Domingo German will start in the minors as I feel that due to his suspension, which caused him to miss all of the 2020 season, he will be rusty.

Cole, well we know what to expect but will we see it? Last year it seemed to me that he was giving up at least 1 or 2 homers a game. I do think we will continue to see that at times. I think after a weird first year as a Yankee, it wont be as bad. I think he goes 17-9 with a 3.20 era.

Kluber, I am not sure what to expect to be honest. He only threw one inning in 2020 and the Yankees gave him a guaranteed 11 million. I am NOT against the signing as he is a proven talent but once again, coming off a season where he didn’t pitch much, there is the possibility that he will be rusty. I see him going 12-10 with a 4.30era

Montgomery, proved that he was back last year after having Tommy John surgery and I only think he does better this year. The kid is still young with a lot left to prove. I see him going 10-10 with a 3.99 era.

Tailon will be a surprise to most as he is coming off a 2nd Tommy John surgery but I do think he will go 12-7 with a 4.00 era.

Garcia, while still being really young, will have a great spring and will prove that he is a valuable asset to the team. Although, I do see him being bounced and forth from the minors to the majors and with that being said. I see him going 8-7 with a 4.00 era
