The New Kids on the Block are embarking on a big year in 2022 with the Mixtape Tour and new music. Here is more information on the exciting new music, tour, and other things to look forward to.
Fans get your confetti ready because the New Kids on the Block are coming to a city and stadium near you in 2022. They are bringing friends Salt- N-Pepa, En Vogue, and Rick Astley along for the ride. They have also released a new single this week. The group is building off their highly successful Fenway Park show a few months back.
New Music
New Kids on the Block enlist Mixtape tour mates for the new single “Bring Back the Times” and fun eye-catchy video. It dropped at 12am Thursday morning on major streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify. Fans tuned into the exclusive music video premiere on billboard.com and it can be seen on Youtube.
An ultra-80s inspired music video that celebrates the music of that era in modern fashion. To capitalize on the fan’s anticipation for this upcoming tour all four acts have come together for this. It’s an anthem, it’s uplifting fun, and exactly what we could use right now. They recreated some iconic scenes in their music video and it had some funny moments which was the idea.
The group appeared on Good Morning America to perform the new single for the first time. Also, they talked about all things NKOTB and Mixtape Tour. There are plans for the group to release either a new EP or full album soon with songs similar sound to “Bring Back the Times” It will be great to hear some new music especially with summer coming up.
Mixtape Tour
The group will embark on a 60-date tour with special guests Salt-n-Pepa, En Vogue, and Rick Astley. As they tour across the United States in the summer of 2022 which is slated to begin May 10th in Cincinnati Ohio and conclude July 23rd in Washington D.C. Some key cities include Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlantic City, Austin, and of course Boston. They are playing some of the biggest sports stadiums like The TD Garden, The Staples Center, and Ball Arena.
Expect to hear the classics like “Step by Step”, ”Hanging Tough” and “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” with the choreography. They also have an extensive collection of music to choose from for the setlist. The special guests have hits like “Push It”, ” My Lovin” and” Never Gonna Give You Up”. Odds are that fans will be treated to a live version Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue’s hit “Whatta Man”.
