The season seven premiere of The Masked Singer aired this week. As five celebrities representing three categories the good, the bad and the cuddly perform for the first time. Here is a recap of what happened in the episode.
This new season kicked off with some epic performances, big clues, twists, and plenty of drama. There are many talented singers that are said to be many award-winning artists, actors, and accomplished athletes. It was a night to remember as the show returned with plenty of anticipation.
Season Seven Premiere
Firefly
Firefly gave a beautiful performance showing off some big vocals and even a hint of an accent. This came after she had to leave the stage for a health scare. The panelists consider her an early contender. Based on the clues it seems that the Firefly is used to the spotlight and is a professional singer.
Clues: Tiara, comedy, Apollo Theater, New York, and schedule.

Ram
Ram gave a fun rendition of a popular rock song. Though he may not have the strongest voice in the competition, his personality makes up for it. He gave clues that referenced being a football player, a quarterback who wears the number six.
Clues: #6 helmet, referee, reality TV, quarter, goats, and theater.
Most Popular Internet Guess: Jay Cutler
McTerrier
McTerrier loses his mask during his premiere performance after he falls on the stage but recovered quickly. He has a nice voice and plenty of impressive stage presence. Overall McTerrier is a cute character. In the clue package, we see McTerrier with a band implying that he is a part of the Scottish music scene.
Clues: drums, 1304, cake, many instruments, towels, and record.

Thingamabob gave a nice performance with surprisingly good vocals that had a lot of grit. He is an early favorite of the panelists and viewers because of his talent. Though he could be an athlete based on his size and clues that included boxing.

Most Popular Internet Guess: Don Henley
Cyclops
Cyclops is one of the most interesting characters this season with his costume and singing. He had a fun performance that showed off his voice. His clue package referenced that he could be an actor that frequently plays villainous characters.
Clues: Cobra Kai, villain, teddy bear, cowboy hat, comic book, and compass.

The Reveal
This week the Masked Singer eliminated McTerrier. He was revealed as a pastry chef, author, and host Duff Goldman. He is known for his work on the Food Network and bakeries across the country.
This was one of the most dramatic and exciting premieres of the show that seems to get better every year. Tune in next week for more performances from group a. The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays on Fox at 7/8 c.
