N’Keal Harry Undergoes Surgery

Former first-round pick and New England Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry underwent ankle surgery this past Thursday. The Injury occurred last Saturday when his ankle got wrapped up underneath Bears linebacker Nicholas Morrow with a pass that went in his direction. On July 13th the Patriots traded Harry for a future 2024 seventh-round pick. There were high expectations for Harry being drafted from Arizona State and taken by New England. Ever since his rookie season back in 2019, his career has been plagued by injuries and poor performances.

What’s Next for N’Keal Harry

Harry will be recovering from his ankle surgery for the next few months until he is fully healthy to come back to the team. Hopefully, N’Keal will be at 100 percent once he has recovered from the surgery. He will be looking to get a fresh new start with a totally different offense than the one that was in New England. Two of the biggest issues Harry was having with the Patriots were his separation from the defenders and staying healthy.

Harry’s Career Timeline

  • Drafted by the Patriots in 2019.
  • Was on injured reserve for half of his rookie season in 2019 due to an ankle injury.
  • Has not had a 100-yard receiving game in the NFL yet.
  • 2019-2021 three seasons with the Patriots
  • July 2022 traded to the Chicago Bears.

With N’Keal Harry Being Out, the Next Man up in Chicago Is…

Darnell Mooney and Equanimeous St. Brown lead the pack at the wide receiver position while Harry is recovering. Mooney has shown flashes and good chemistry with Bears QB Justin Fields dating back to the 2021 season. St. Brown signed with the Bears earlier this year as an unrestricted free agent. Chicago will be okay heading into the season with both St. Brown and Mooney being the two top receivers at the start of the 2022 season.
