National Championship Rundown After Ojibwe Forests Rally

Ojibwe Forests Rally Brandon Semenuk Taking a Corner

Brandon Semenuk remains in the lead of the National Championship standings after the Ojibwe Forests Rally. Ken Block moves into second. While Travis Pastrana falls behind in third. The National Championship Standings won’t be updated with the results of the Ojibwe Forests Rally until an appeal has been resolved. The reason for the appeal is due to Power stage points not being awarded. This was decided by the Stewards after the stage had to be stopped before all drivers eligible for points had completed the stage. If points for the Power stage are awarded, Semenuk’s gap over Block will increase by one. Without Power stage points Semenuk will have 116 points, with Block having 112. With Power stage points Semenuk will have 121 points with Block having 116.

2WD Drivers Championship Rundown

Seamus Burke will take over the 2WD Drivers Championship, after placing first in class. Murcott finished over a minute behind Burke to place second in class. Micah Nickelson, who came into the rally first in the championship, placed sixth in class after temporarily retiring on SS1 due to bad fuel. Nickelson would rejoin the rally on SS2 performing a super rally.

Subaru Rally Team USA Rundown

Ojibwe Forests Rally Brandon Semenuk Driving Over A Land Bridge

Subaru Rally Team USA came into the Ojibwe Forests Rally first and second on the national podium. They come out of the event first and third. Travis Pastrana fell from second to third after retiring from the event. Semenuk’s job is far from over as he has little room for error. Semenuk only sits four or five points ahead of Block. One loss to Block could cost Semenuk the championship. Heading into STPR Pastrana and Semenuk will need to work together to take down Block, ideally, they can place first and second at the event with Block placing third or not finishing. If this were to occur it would make winning the championship much harder for Block.

Hoonigan Racing Division Rundown

Ken Block is in a tight battle for the 2022 ARA National Championship. Block knows he needs to win STPR to keep his hopes of taking home his first championship alive. Lucy Block was able to place seventh overall at the Ojibwe Forests Rally, and fourth in the O4WD class.

A Look Ahead To The Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally

The Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally is expected to be a flat-out battle between Ken Block and Brandon Semenuk. STPR has a chance to be the turning point in the championship, with a small margin departing Block and Semenuk heading into the event every point will matter. Travis Pastrana will sit as the X-Factor in STPR as he has a chance to change the outcome of the event.
