Unfortunately, the Boston Celtics have found themselves in a sticky situation as Coach Ime Uduka has violated some sort of rules within his contract. He will most likely miss some time coaching and possibly even a whole season. The entire season seems like too much time, but I guess it was just an unprofessional decision within a highly professional job. It is likely that Joe Mazzulla will become the interim head coach, but hear me out.

Adam Sandler and Kevin Garnett Would Make Great Coaches

Kevin Garnett is an NBA Hall of Famer and NBA Champion, thanks to his playing days in Boston. He was the ultimate leader and player for the Celtics. He was arguably more of a factor than Paul Pierce was during their championship run. No one can deny that he has what it takes to be a coach, especially for the Celtics.

Charles Krupa

Now, this is where ill have to be more persuasive.

Is Adam Sandler actually capable of coaching NBA players? The answer is yes. First and foremost, he loves basketball. He always has. He has made that very clear.

Second, he is skilled at basketball and has a natural ability. He is not anywhere near athletic enough to be a pro athlete but he knows what he’s doing out there. I can really picture him blowing a whistle in the middle of a scrimmage and pointing something out. He has excellent court vision. Now, I’m not saying Sandler should be the assistant head coach or anything, but I think he would work well under KG.

Sandler and Garnett are friends and have worked together in the past. I think that if offered positions coaching the Celtics together, they would be ecstatic. Both of them have a passion for basketball that would translate into success. Kevin Garnett has remained in the basketball world with his show KG’s Area 21 and now Showtime Basketball, and Sandler has been working and playing with NBA players in his latest movie, Hustle.

They both have great relationships with players, and I think the team would find them to be great coaches to play for. Both Sandler and Garnett are respected among players.

The only thing in the way would be their already extremely busy schedules. They are already very good at what they do. They would have to drop a lot to become a coach.

In conclusion, this is a long shot and most likely won’t happen, but I don’t think it’s the worst idea I’ve ever had.
