Welcome to the first edition of the show notes for the No Credentials Required podcast! (It only took the show two years to come up with this idea…) We’re hoping to provide a written summary of every episode from here on out. Ryan and new co-host Dustin are working on bringing you more great content, so here’s the first of what we hope are many show notes.
Show Open
The opening of Episode 87 of No Credentials Required features a reading from the comments section (3:15-5:19). After last week’s livestream, the guys received a comment on the YouTube channel from a viewer. However, the comment was in German. Ryan – who did NOT take German at any point of his life – reads the comment anyway and Dustin tries to translate.
Reviewing NFL Week 1
The majority of Episode 87 of No Credentials Required focuses on reacting to Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season (5:20-59:30). Ryan and Dustin went over all 16 games of the Week 1 schedule. Highlights include:
- the very drunk Pittsburgh-Cincinnati game (22:22);
- how impressed Dustin was with New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley’s performance in Nashville (42:39);
- and Ryan ponders aloud if present day Jerry Jones is turning into Al Davis in his final days (53:00).
Also, witness a historic moment in the show as you’ll hear Dustin’s landline phone – yes, a LANDLINE phone – ring in the background.
Biggest Upset, Biggest Disappointments, and Best Games
Dustin and Ryan give their Biggest Upsets (1:00:33) and Biggest Disappointments (1:01:50) in the next section of Episode 87 of No Credentials Required. Ryan goes an extended rant (1:02:30) about how his favorite team – the New York Jets – bitterly disappointed him. The duo also gives their take on which games were the best of the week (1:10:20).
Hottest Takes of the Week
Lastly in Episode 87, the hosts of No Credentials Required give their hottest takes of Week 1. Dustin talks about his disappointment in his fellow Seattle Seahawks fans’ treatment of Russell Wilson (1:12:21). Ryan, meanwhile, wants to yeet the Atlanta Falcons to another league given their recent history of blown leads (1:14:40).
Dustin and Ryan will return on Tuesday night at 7pm ET to review NFL Week 2. The livestream will be simulcast on YouTube, Twitter, and BellyUp.tv. The audio of the livestream will be available the next morning at 7am. And click here for a list of ALL the podcast offerings on Belly Up Media!
