It’s time to get excited. The New York Giants are a different team this year. They showed it on Sunday against a Green Bay Packers team led by Aaron Rodgers. Whether it’s in New Jersey or overseas in London, this team knows how to win football games.

Down 17-3 at one point in the second quarter, the Giants looked out of it against Green Bay. However, things turned around after this play from Saquon Barkley.

This led to a touchdown by tight end Daniel Bellinger. Call it the New York Special, why don’t ya?

The Giants would trail 20-10 at the half after Mason Crosby kicked a field goal in the dying seconds. But, that was the last scoring play of the game for Green Bay.

New York started the second half with a field goal from Graham Gano, and would score 17 unanswered points to take a 27-20 lead in the fourth quarter.

Props to Gary Brightwell for scoring his first touchdown in a big game. But, Saquon Barkley. This man continues to shred defenses and keep this offense one to reckon with. He only finished with 70 yards rushing but added 36 yards receiving.

Also, props to Daniel Jones. This man continues to fight every single week, regardless of the circumstances. He was quite efficient, finishing 21/27 for 217 yards. He also ran for 37 yards.

Keep This Into Perspective

The Giants won this game despite the following circumstances

They pulled it off. It goes to show that this team represents the “next man up” mentality. Past Giants’ teams (especially recently) would buckle and lose these types of games. Coach Brian Daboll and his staff wouldn’t let that happen, and this game showed how great coaching can make a big difference.

DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE

Zero points in the second half. Props to the Giants’ defense for limiting Aaron Rodgers and making life hard for him coming out of halftime.

Julian Love continues to be a stud, as the fourth-year Giant led the team in tackles with seven. Dexter Lawrence had another sack against the Packers, and of course, he did his dance.

Kayvon Thibodeaux did not record any sacks but had two key pass deflections to go along with his three tackles on the day.

This defense, in total, had seven pass deflections and made Rodgers look human in London.

Now, the Packers had one last chance to score after the Giants purposely gave them a safety on fourth down. Of course, this was done to waste time and prevent the Packers from having good field position.

With seven seconds left, it left the Packers one last play to make something happen. Nightmares of the Hail Mary from Rodgers to Randall Cobb in 2016 came to mind. Not today, thanks to the man from Old Dominion.

Oshane Ximines, what a clutch play good sir. That would seal it, and the Giants are officially 3-0 when playing in London.

Up Next For Your Giants

After outgaining and outplaying the Packers, the New York Football Giants are 4-1 and it marks their best start since 2009. Bring on the Baltimore Ravens, who are coming off a win themselves against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Time to head back to East Rutherford, gentlemen.
