Day one of the second round of the Nitro Rallycross Arizona doubleheader has passed. Oliver Eriksson would end the day on top.

Battle Bracket Seeding Heats

Heat One

The first Battle Bracket Seeding Heat would see Oliver Eriksson start in the pole position. Eriksson would be followed by Travis Pastrana, Andreas Bakkerud, Kevin Eriksson, Chase Elliott and Austin Cindric. Oliver Eriksson would take the heat win. This would come after Pastrana would receive a five-second penalty for a jumpstart. This penalty would force Pastrana 3.419 seconds behind Eriksson. Austin Cindric would place third, 1.369 seconds behind Pastrana. 

Heat Two

Heat two would see Robin Larsson start in the pole position. Larsson would be followed by Fraser McConnell, Conner Martell, Kris Meeke and Oliver Bennett. Fraser McConnell would take the heat win by beating Robin Larsson by 0.630 seconds. Kris Meeke would place third, 5.666 seconds behind Larsson. 

Battle Bracket Round One

Oliver Bennett Vs. Andreas Bakkerud 

Oliver Bennett came into day two looking to carry momentum from his result on day one. Unfortunately for Bennett, Andreas Bakkerud would cut his day short. As Bakkerud would beat Bennett by 0.589 seconds to win the heat. 

Chase Elliott Vs. Conner Martell

Chase Elliott would come into day two looking to have a better result than day one. Unfortunately for Elliott, his result wouldn’t change. As he would lose to Conner Martell who beat him by 1.6 seconds. 

Austin Cindric Vs. Kevin Eriksson

Much like Chase Elliott, Austin Cindric would come into day two hoping for a better result than day one. Also like Elliott, Cindric’s result wouldn’t get any better. As Cindric would lose to Kevin Eriksson who beat him by 2.585 seconds. 

Battle Bracket Quarterfinals

Andreas Bakkerud Vs. Oliver Eriksson

Andreas Bakkerud would come into the quarterfinals looking to carry momentum from the first round. Unfortunately, Bakkerud would retire less than a lap into the race. Thus handing Oliver Eriksson the race win and a ticket to the semifinal. 

Travis Pastrana Vs. Kris Meeke 

Travis Pastrana and Kris Meeke have seemed to find each other all weekend. With Pastrana coming out on top more often than not. Pastrana would once again beat Meeke, but this time he had a little extra help from track officials. As a five-second penalty to Meeke for contact would put Meeke 3.94 seconds behind Pastrana. 

Fraser McConnell Vs. Conner Martell

Much like Andreas Bakkerud, Conner Martell would be looking to carry momentum from round one of the Battle Bracket into the quarterfinals. Unfortunately for Martell, he wouldn’t have a much better result than Bakkerud. As Martell would lose to Fraser McConnell by 1.486 seconds. 

Robin Larsson Vs. Kevin Eriksson

Kevin Eriksson would also be looking to carry momentum from round one into the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, Eriksson would also fall short, as he would lose to Robin Larsson by 0.707 seconds. 

Battle Bracket Semifinals

Oliver Eriksson Vs. Travis Pastrana 

Travis Pastrana’s chances of going two for two with the Battle Brackets would come to an end versus Oliver Eriksson. As Pastrana would lose to Eriksson by 7.597 seconds. 

Robin Larsson Vs. Fraser McConnell

Fraser McConnell came into the semifinals looking to carry momentum from earlier rounds to take his second Battle Bracket win of the season. Unfortunately for McConnell, Robin Larsson would eliminate him from the Nitro Rallycross Battle Bracket and end any chance of his second win. McConnell would retire from the race just two laps in. 

Battle Bracket Final

The second Nitro Rallycross Battle Bracket of the weekend would see two new drivers on top. With Robin Larsson facing off against Oliver Eriksson. Oliver Eriksson would beat Larsson by 0.648 seconds to win the Battle Bracket.
