TCU is the biggest underdog in National Championship history. We all knew this game was lopsided but I did not think it was THAT lopsided, and I don’t think the odds are necessarily stacked correctly.

TCU has been one of the best teams all year and now they are ready to prove it. No one would have told you that they were going to be playing in tonights game in august and thats the best thing about sports. There is nothing better than an underdog story. To begin the year they were +20000 to win it all.

ESPN

You would think such a big win against the undefeated Michigan Wolverines would be enough to prove themselves as a capable football team. No one gave them a chance to win that game, and it seems that’s what’s happening again ahead of tonight. According to Fox Sports, that win vs Michigan was the biggest upset in CFB Playoff history.

I think this is the perfect segue into the new era of college football. With the 12-team playoff format we will see many more underdog teams making championship runs.

Quarterbacks

I think it is fair to say that the quarterbacks are an important part of any football game. Although Stetson Bennett has been playing well this year and has the experience, I think Max Duggan is the better player in this game.

TCU Athletics

One thing I see in Max Duggan is his toughness. He is able to run the football and put his head down. He is not a slider but an aggressor. he is going to make a few crucial rushing plays. Last week against Michigan he rushed for 57-yards and two touchdowns.

Its starting to feel like he should’ve been taken more seriously in the Heisman voting and it will definitely feel that way if he leads to the Horned frogs to a National Championship victory. I know he will show up but the fate of TCU ultimately comes down to the players around him to execute.

Tonight’s game

If TCU is able to put up a fight against Georgias rushing attack, the frogs will have a great chance tonight. TCU had a great game rushing last week combining for 263-yards.

Although they have been the favorite all year, Georgia is lucky to be playing in this game. They were outplayed by Ohio State.

If you haven’t guessed by now, yes I am with TCU. Time to shock the world.
