The 2023 World Rally Championship season continues this weekend with round three, Rally Mexico. Find out everything you need to know below.

Championship Rundown

Yohan Rossel and Oliver Solberg currently sit tied for first place in the WRC2 Championship. With both drivers taking home an event win plus three points on the Powerstage. Solberg will likely take the Championship lead this weekend, as Rossel will not be at Rally Mexico this weekend. Nikolay Gryazin sits third in the championship, eight points behind Rossel and Solberg. Ole Christian Veiby sits fourth in the championship, one point behind Gryazin. Marco Bulacia rounds out the top five in the championship, three points behind Veiby. Unfortunately, both Veiby and Bulacia won’t be at Rally Mexico this weekend. The next highest driver who will be at the event is Adrien Fourmaux who sits 10th in the championship.

Drivers Return

Rally Mexico will see the two WRC2 drivers make their 2023 debut. Kajetan Kajetanowicz and former WRC1 driver Gus Greensmith will make their WRC2 debuts this weekend. Both drivers will drive Skoda Fabia’s, with Greensmith’s Skoda run by Toksport. Greensmith will get to drive a brand-new Skoda Fabia RS this weekend. Kajetanowicz will drive his Skoda Fabia Evo this weekend.

Who Else Will Be There?

Joining Greensmith this weekend will be his former M-Sport teammate Adrien Fourmaux. Fourmaux will be behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta MKII, run by M-Sport. Fourmaux is coming fresh off a win at the Malcolm Wilson Rally last weekend, and will likely look to continue where he left off. Reigning WRC2 champion Emil Lindholm will also be at the event. Reigning Mexican Rally Champion Ricardo Cordero will be at the event. Cordero will be behind the wheel of a Citroen C3 R5. Canadian Jason Bailey will also be at the event, behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta Rally3.
