As of today, Aaron Rodgers has not been traded to the New York Jets. With the summer slowly approaching, many players are well into their off-season workouts and preparation. Are the Jets losing interest in Aaron Rodgers?

I think there’s a chance they are. With every day that passes Aaron gets older. His playing days are numbered. There’s a chance he only has one year left in him. The NFL season is long and gruesome. As a 39-year-old, and 40-year-old come December, the Jets may be second-guessing this.

Zach Wilson is only 23 years old and they drafted him second overall in the 2021 Draft. They don’t want to give up on him yet. Making him the backup to Aaron isn’t the worst idea but Wilson can get most of Aaron’s tricks from watching film. Who’s to say this whole situation hasn’t lit a fire under Wilson? He could be as motivated as ever.

Another reason the Jets may be second-guessing themselves is because of how talented the AFC East has become. Adding Aaron doesn’t automatically make them favorites. They still have to beat the Bills, Pats & Dolphins just to see the playoffs. Which is obviously not a walk in the park, along with the rest of the AFC.

The window for Aaron Rodgers might be too slim. I personally think he has two years left to win a Super Bowl if everything were to go his way.

Although Aaron might not need reps with the wide receivers before training camp arrives, the young Jet receivers do. They are missing out on reps that they could have been getting for months. There needs to be more urgency.

He’s been on one team his whole career. The transition won’t be as easy as Tom’s. Mike Evans and Gronk are two Hall of Famers.

In conclusion, every day seems crucial for the Jets’ Super Bowl chances. This trade only seems like a win for the Jets if it results in a championship, considering they would most likely be giving up multiple first-round draft picks.
