Micah Nickelson would place fourth overall and first in the O2WD class at the Rally In The 100 Acre Wood Last month.

What Was Nickelson’s Favourite Moment at 100AW

Nickelson couldn’t narrow it down to just one moment from the event. Everything ran smoothly. He had tons of help at services. The car was handling great, he kept the car on the road for the most part. Which helped him get on the O2WD class win and a top-five overall finish at the event. Overall the event was great for Nickelson.

What Was The Biggest Challenge Nickelson Faced?

Nickelson has always thought the preparation for an event is the hardest or most challenging part of a rally. Getting the car set up properly, writing good notes during recce, cleaning up notes after recce, and so on. The driving is kind of the easy part for him.

Did Nickelson Follow His Strategy?

Nickelson’s strategy was simple, go fast and see where he ends up. He did start to back off the pace a bit during the end of the rally. Seeing as he had a good cushion between himself and Lia Block. He also wanted to attempt to save tires.

Was Nickelson Happy With Final Position?

Nickelson was very pleased with his final position. Surprised would be a more appropriate answer, however. As Nickelson didn’t have the highest of expectations heading into the event due to the stacked field. So for Nickelson to finish as well as he did, he was more than happy with the result.

What Was Nickelson’s Biggest Regret?

Nickelson can’t say he has any regrets. Of course, there were little mistakes here and there but this was one of the cleanest events he’s ever done. The lack of any major mistakes and overall having a generally clean event would lead to Nickelson having one of the highest finishes at an event in his career.
