The MLB is starting to sort itself out after fifteen games. The cream is rising to the top, and the cellar is getting crowded. We continue our weekly measuring with the MLB power rankings for week three. This is based on their current performance.

1. Tampa Bay Rays +/- 0

The Rays have finally fallen, but still sit atop the MLB and these weekly rankings. They are undefeated at home and a +65 run differential shows they are for real. They may continue to lose a game or two, but they are still the best team at the moment.

2. Atlanta Braves +/- 0

Ronald Acuna Jr has the Braves close to the top of the MLB power rankings for week three.

The Braves have been rolling so far, but they are battling injuries in the rotation and the lineup. For now, they continue to figure it out.

3. Toronto Blue Jays +5

Eight out of the last ten games have been wins for the Jays. Toronto has high expectations this year, and they seemed poised to meet those expectations.

4. Miami Marlins +20

The big risers this week, the Marlins have found a groove. They are trying to be contenders in the NL East and sweeping the Phillies is a good start.

5. New York Mets +8

Do not look now, but the Mets’ offense is looking dangerous. If the stars can actually be stars, the Mets are in for a good year.

6. Milwaukee Brewers -3

The Brewers got a huge boost from a last-minute AAA call-up to beat the Padres on Friday. They seemed to have survived a missed start by Brandon Woodruff. The young Brewers are still producing and their power hitters are finding their swing.

7. New York Yankees +5

Another AL East team finding themselves, the Yankees are starting to look like the Yankees.

8. Pittsburgh Pirates -3

The Pirates continue to impress even with the loss of Oneil Cruz. I think they will eventually fall out of contention, but for now, they are still in the top ten.

9. Minnesota Twins -5

The Twins will need to find consistency to win the AL Central, but a 4-2 home record and a 6-3 road record is a great start.

10. Arizona Diamondbacks +5

Corbin Carroll has Arizona at the top of the NL West, but for how long?

Sitting on the top of the NL West, the young Diamondbacks are holding their own to start the season. The Padres are close behind them, so they may not be there long.

11. San Diego Padres +3

12. Chicago Cubs +4

13. Cleveland Guardians -6

14. Baltimore Orioles -5

15. Los Angeles Dodgers -9

16. Texas Rangers -5

17. Boston Red Sox +5

18. Seattle Mariners +2

19. Los Angeles Angels -9

Mike Trout and the Angeles started fine, but are starting to look like a disappointment again. They are just inside the top 20 of the MLB power rankings for week three.

20. Chicago White Sox -1

21. Houston Astros -4

22. Philidelphia Phillies +4

23. St. Louis Cardinals +2

24. Cincinnati Reds -6

25. San Francisco Giants -4

26. Colorado Rockies -3

27. Detroit Tigers +3

28. Washington Nationals +1

29. Kansas City Royals -2

30. Oakland Athletics -2
