There are no titles on the line in the UFC on Saturday night at the Apex in Las Vegas, but the card looks to be fireworks. The main event features two flyweights which is unusual for a UFC card. Amir Albazi and Kai Kara-France will show off their skills in the main event. The two 125 pounders are no strangers to the octagon, with Kara-France battling for the 35th time with a 24-10 record and Albazi at 16-1. This is a huge jump for Albazi, as he has not faced this type of level in his career.

40+ Career UFC Fights

The story of the night is the two fighters with the most fights and wins in UFC history. Jim Miller is fighting in the UFC for the 42nd time. Andrei Arlovski is fighting in his 40th UFC fight this Saturday. Jim Miller holds the record for 24 wins, while Arlovski is a close second at 23.

Andrei Arlovski

Andrei Arlovski is taking on a heavy hitter in Don’Tale Mayes. Mayes uses a boxing stance to confuse and outsmart his opponents. Arlovski loves to use his range by sticking the jab. He also utilizes his kicks to make his opponent keep guessing.  Arlovski has seen it all and Mayes will not be able to take advantage of his size when facing Arlovski. Look for Arlovski to cruise his way into a unanimous decision victory.

Jim Miller

Jim Miller was supposed to face Jared Gordon this Saturday. Unfortunately, Gordon sustained an injury and has been replaced. Newcomer Jesse Butler will be stepping in on two days notice. Butler is on a five fight win streak. He is very dangerous on the ground, where he has eight wins by submission.  Miller will not have enough time to create a new game plan for Butler. He will probably be very attentive in the first round and move on from there. If Miller can get through the first round, he will take advantage of the lack of experience of Butler. Look for Miller to score a late third round submission to keep his record of most wins in the UFC.

The Main Event

The fight between Kai-Kara France and Amir Albazi has a lot of implications in the flyweight division. Kara France is coming of a loss to champion Brandon Moreno. He looked very good in the early rounds before getting caught with a liver shot. Albazi is 4-0 in the UFC, winning in every fashion. His jiu-jitsu skills are off the charts, as it has always been his biggest advantage in fights. His opponents have not been able to stop the constant pressure that Albazi carries. Kara-France is not one of those opponents. He shows his toughness in every fight, and he will be too big of a step for Albazi this early in his UFC career. Look for Kara-France to overcome the pressure in the first few rounds, before breaking Albazi down in a fourth round finish.
