The MLB Draft is an important event for Major League Baseball teams. It provides them with the opportunity to select and sign talented players who could help shape their future. Every year, teams across the league make strategic decisions. After all, they want to maximize their chances of success both now and down the road.

In this upcoming MLB Draft, the Houston Astros have a very important decision to make. Fans may prefer to see two of the Houston Astros’ top players in home-team uniforms for years to come. These players are the ones on the roster who will be of most interest to other teams.

But it might not take place.

Catcher Yainer Daz and outfielder Corey Julks are just two of the Astros’ future stars who have the potential to fall into that category.

Even though it’s only June, the MLB trade deadline is drawing near.

The biggest question of them all is who will be traded away and what the Astros will receive in return. There has to be a significant sense of urgency as the Astros trail the Texas Rangers in the AL West by six games.

Ideally, Astros general manager Dana Brown and manager Dusty Baker won’t trade away the team’s future for a win-now player. But given what Houston has done in the past, it’s highly likely that they will. How will this affect the Houston Astros odds?

The Houston brass is optimistically choosing catcher prospects from the farm system over a seasoned backstop because Daz has demonstrated that he belongs in the Majors both offensively and defensively.

But with this management group, who knows?

Along with Daz, Julks has proven he can start for MLB teams, but again, a lack of playing time has prevented him from developing into an everyday player.

With the All-Star break quickly approaching, Houston wants to acquire at least another bat. So, both Dáz and Julks will undoubtedly generate trade interest.

Will the Astros exchange a future star for a player they can use right away?

It wouldn’t be shocking at all based solely on Houston’s past trade deadline triggers.

We’ll have to wait and see for now.
