MLB All-Star Week is next with some festivities including the Home Run Derby, draft, and All-Star Game. A fun week to be at baseball as the game’s brightest and best take center stage.

The Midsummer Classic is only a few days away as baseball’s best players get together. As the festivities will kick off July 9h and end with the 93rd All-Star Game. There are some talented players that are being showcased this year. Therefore, here is everything you need to know including key roster players, schedule, and home run derby participants.

The Home Run Derby will take place on Monday, July 11 at 8 pm ET on ESPN at T-Mobile Park as the sluggers aim to take the crown. It will be an eight-player field with four from each league.  This is always a fun event to watch players hit some great home runs. The bracket is single elimination with three rounds and the higher seed in each matchup always hits second. Each contestant has three minutes to hit as many home runs as possible. Also, they will receive thirty seconds of bonus time for hitting above 400 feet.

This year there is a nice mix of young stars and experienced sluggers. Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Mariners star Julio Rodriquez were the first confirmed contestants. It’s only fitting that Rodriquez defends his title after last year’s amazing performance. Also, two-time derby winner Pete Alonso and Orioles slugger Adley Rutschman will perform in the iconic event. There will be other big names taking part in the action.

All-Star Game Preview

The All-Star Game is set to take place on Tuesday, July 11 at 8 pm ET on Fox. This year the Seattle Mariners are hosting all the festivities at T-Mobile Park as the stars from American League and National League take on each other. Each team has a twenty-six-player roster voted by fans, players, and coaches.  Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuna Jr were the top vote getters this year.

The rosters have been announced with some surprises and debuts. Luiz Arraez and Sean Murphy are making their all-star debuts for the National League. Also, Marcus Semien and Yandy Diaz are some pleasant surprises on the roster. There are some big stars that will be on display this year and it’s always fun to watch. The National League hopes to gain victory since it’s been at least since they won one.

This year there is a lot of talent that will be displayed during these events. Tune in to the Home Run Derby on Monday at 8 pm ET on ESPN and the All-Star Game on Tuesday at 8 pm ET on Fox. Also keeping checking in for more MLB news and stories.
