Three months into the MLB season has us with more questions than answers. The AL and NL Central divisions are both up in the air. The Rays have not let up, while the Rangers control the AL West. The Braves have control of the NL, but Arizona, San Francisco, and LA are battling for second place. Here are the MLB power rankings for week 14.

1. Atlanta Braves +1

The Braves have surpassed the Rays’ season-long hold on the top spot in the Power Rankings. Their seven-game win streak has given them this spot. Ronald Acuna Jr is having an MVP season, but their pitching and defense have been the main reason for their success so far.

2. Tampa Bay Rays -1

While Tampa has remained in control in the AL they have not been able to keep up with Atlanta. Tampa is still the top AL contender and is still a major force to be reckoned with, but I view them as the second biggest threat behind Atlanta.

3. Texas Rangers +/-0

Texas has proven who they are. Last year they went all in on offense, and this year on pitching. Needless to say, their past two off-seasons have paid off. They have scored more runs than any other team this year, and are fourth in the AL in runs allowed.

4. Arizona Diamondbacks +1

The NL West battle will be one to watch all season. Arizona continues to lead the division and looks like a legit threat in the conference. They need to be buyers at the trade deadline to strengthen their rotation, but the offense is carrying them so far.

5. Baltimore Orioles -1

The young Orioles had a rough week, but they called up their latest prospect to continue their youth movement. Baltimore has fallen back in their chase of Tampa and will need to have a strong week to hold off New York.

6. Miami Marlins +1

I do not know what the Marlins must do to make me believe in them, but I still cannot buy into this team. Their record puts them at six in the rankings, but still not true contenders in my heart.

7. Los Angeles Dodgers +1

LA jumped the Giants to regain second in the West, and are now just two games out of first. Getting to play Colorado and KC did not hurt.

8. New York Yankees +1

The annual injury bug has struck the Yankees, but they keep themselves in the hunt. They do not look like champions, but let us see what they do to improve the roster leading up to the trade deadline.

9. Houston Astros +2

While they have not made up ground on the Rangers, they have maintained their pace. This is a championship organization, that is coming around.

10. Philadelphia Phillies +6

It took Philly three months to crack the top ten, but they have finally made it. They may not catch Atlanta, but we have already seen all they need to do is make the playoffs.

Philly is in the top ten of the MLB Power Rankings for week 14.
