These are the MLB teams on a hot streak in August heading into the final month of the season. Fans should keep an eye on them as they are playing dominant baseball.
The final six weeks of the baseball season are upon us with the trade deadline in the rearview mirror. There are some teams that are making a playoff push while others have been good all year. It will be interesting to see if these teams continue to hit their stride in September.
Hot Streak in August

They were 2 games back at the beginning of July, Since the All-Star break, they are 16-6 and only a game and a half back in the playoff standings. This team is dominating everyone with stellar pitching and timely hitting. They are playing consistently good baseball at the right time.
The Seattle Mariners are making a playoff push after being a .500 team for the better part of the season. They have won eight of their last ten games with a 16-6 record since July 19. All of these against teams in the playoff hunt and the Mariners are less than two games back in the wild card. They are playing like a playoff team with solid pitching and a lot of offense.

This team has solid pitching and a powerful lineup that has given them plenty of success in August. The Texas Rangers are another team that has been great this season. Even though they hit a snag losing the last nine games in July they are back at it again. Their lineup and defense have been fantastic.
The Atlanta Braves still look like the best team in August as they continue to pound opposing pitchers. They lead MLB in runs per game, hits, and home runs. Every night they are putting on a show and hope to continue it well into the postseason. Overall, this has to be one of the best teams in baseball and they have been consistent all year.
