PFLmma:

When the good times roll, you got to try and keep them rolling. And for the little engine that could organization, the PFL is at it again. On the heels of signing former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Francis Ngannou, they have now officially signed Amanda Serrano to their roster. She will be competing in the PPV SUPERFIGHT DIVISION, already home to “The Predator”, Kayla Harrison, and Serrano’s boxing promoter and MMA hopeful Jake Paul. And let’s not forget that Claressa Shields is still technically around too.

Serrano is defending her undisputed featherweight belts against another former two-sport star Heather Hardy on Saturday in Texas. Hardy by the way, is on a two-fight win streak and is looking for payback against a unanimous decision loss to Serrano in 2019. Serrano at 34-years old is still a name and a draw. As well as a powerhouse with great handspeed, and phenominal footwork in the boxing ring. However she’s 2-0-1 in MMA and at her age, it will be tough to float above .500 to satisfy her competitive thirst.

Paul who at least on the boxing side of combat sports has a great relationship with Eddie Hearn. Now that his fingers are getting a bigger piece of the MMA pie in the PFL one might wonder is this just the start. Would or can Paul talk Hearn into allowing one of his MATCHROOM BOXING fighters to step into the smart cage. Although any athlete with any common sense realizes stepping into the cage is far from the ring and needs time honing some skills at least.

PFL Is At It Again, And They May Not Be Done Yet…

Recently KENNY FLORIAN put it into the atmosphere that it would be amazing if they signed new free-agent Derrick Lewis. “The Black Beast” in their format would be a very very tough out for anyone at heavyweight. His brute knockout power is taylormade for the organization. And in the PPV division would seek another win over Francis. This one more decisive.

The fact that the UFC didn’t hand him a contract before this one ran out caught most off hand. But it could have also been an under the table gentleman’s agreement to let him possibly walk. Stranger things have happened in sports. Especially where Dana White is concerned.

So add in this plus the possible purchase of BELLATOR and by Thanksgiving the PFL might own all the headlines.
